Colt + Chiles = VY?

Well that is too much to ask for, but you have to admit that Colt has the ability to be as good a collegiate passer as VY and Chiles has VY-caliber running skills.

McCoy Talent Level

Ok, so don't get me wrong, I am Colt McCoy fan, there is no doubt he has been and will continue to be a star for the Horns. Any problems UT has will not be because of lack of talent at QB.

But...you hear comments from broadcasters that seem to indicate a lack of pro-level arm strength. I know looking at McCoy I am reminded of Steve Walsh, the great collegiate QB at Miami.

Anybody here think he is a strong pro prospect? Is NFL arm strength something you are born with or something you can grow into over a college career?

Sorry Troy, you are no Vince

Smith looked just awful...I guess the heisman has never a great indicator of talent, more a press coverage award.

If I am an NFL GM I draft the LSU kid way before anybody else I saw in the bowl games. I don't predict great NFL careers for Smith, Quinn, or even Leak.

VY is still the player of the decade, which will really start to dawn on the league next year.

Another way to look at this season...

I think if Vince stayed in school this team still misses the BCS championship game. I'd be interested in what the rest of the board thinks about that scenario.

In fact, I think if Vince had stayed he would have been screwed out of another Heisman by Troy Smith having a great year on a better team. We would have had the probably the greatest college player of all time with no Heismans and only last year's championship to show for it. And we would be just starting the QB process for next year.

Instead UT has a budding star at QB with three years left to offset the defensive rebuilding needed and another great recruiting class coming in.

Not so bad...

Okam is your typical 300-pound nose tackle

Quote from O-Zone's preview of the game:

Lets just hope OSU thinks that too.
