Sactown Royalty Fan Appreciation Night this Friday

Sooooooo... this could be fun if the Maloofs actually address the crowd. I am tempted to buy a ticket because the boys Maloof sure as hell do not appreciate the fans of Sacramento.

So will you go? If you do will you Boo the Maloofs, carry a sign, wear a bag over your head... chant etc... or will you cheer them on? It will be next to impossible to straddle at this, and expect creative editing by the Maloof staff on any video clips. The cheers will be factored into all sorts of Maloof propaganda!

I honestly think we should pull a "Here We Build" type of effort to show our displeasure with the ownership... enough hoop jumping and walking on egg shells. Being nice has proven NOT to work, and the definition of insanity is "Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results"... a lot like the whole North Korea thing. Assholes will always be assholes... and being an asshole is not a momentary thing for the Maloofs... it is a lifestyle.

Sactown Royalty My F-Bombs and stuff

I have been out of control dropping F-Bombs along with my pictures getting more and more graphic (little dog face buried in big dog ass) all because of the shenanigans the Maloofs have pulled. In some ways I feel I they are winning because they pushed my buttons, and they have achieved the emotions that they knew they would solicit by doing so. I do not like that idea of them winning on the emotion card, especially since that has been the only successful thing they have done with their lives.

I just want to thank the staff of StR for allowing me (us) to vent to our hearts content w/o the ban hammer making an appearance. These have been extraordinary and brutal times that have hit our heart and souls, and this has been an awesome place for me to vent. Thank you...

With that said I am putting a trigger lock on my F-Bomb gun... and I personally want to go back to my fun side to make fun of the douches called Maloof. I do not need or want this kind of anger, and fun is just a lot more fun. Apologies to anyone I might have offended... and if you don't like it, F* yourself :)

So much for not having any financial problems. Diluted ownership of The Palms.

Editor's note: Per CNBC's Darren Rovell, the restructure means the Maloofs are no longer majority owners

Sactown Royalty Can minority owners sell to Burkle?

I don't know all the rules but it would make sense if they could sell a chunk to get Burkle in the door, which could help with finances for the new facility.  I wonder if the minority owners would even want to sell in the first place and is this something the Maloofs could block? I would think the boys wouldn't want him involved in any shape or form but it seems like a good idea to me.

Sactown Royalty 5 Games left... and looking toward (not forward to) next year...

OK... I am not nearly as knowledgeable as others on here (actually barely knowledgeable is more correct) so I am looking at this from a more of a fans perspective.

So the Kings have won 7 more games then last year and I personally do not think PW deserves any credit or is much of a coach. The extra wins come merely from having Reke on the team along with Casspi’s out break early on… and throw in a select few other surprises from various players and teams not taking the Kings very serious the first time around… and back to square one as the season winds down, and the Kings are not very fun to watch (again).

So we had various pieces removed and added, some cheered some jeered… and this process will continue after this season… the excuses this year is the team needs to get used to each other, but how can they with a revolving door and line ups that are equivalent to throwing crap against a wall… it appears the Kings crap lacks a thick consistency since nothing notable seems to stick.  PW gives way to much praise for a team that sucks so bad and I am pretty much tired of hearing him at near the same level as Peaches and Reynolds’s rap…

So what does a fan have to look forward to next year? How well do the pundits on here see the Kings doing next season? What/who do you foresee them going after in FA-A-THON? I was so looking forward to this year and I simply quit watching a good 10 games ago just to avoid the frustration. I am looking forward to some insight… thanks.

Sactown Royalty Inconsistent and yet constant

It's been tough to watch the Kings and I blame the coach more then the players.

The month of Nov. made us forget all about the previous season (it did for me) and the city was happy and with so many fans excited about being over .500% (again I was in that group). The running, the crisp passing is gone... there is the 4-Flat (ugh) there is more dribble to death and more running into 3 jerseys (or more) of the wrong color trying to play hero or draw a foul when in reality it's just a runaway Kings jersey. (keeping all identities hidden to avoid the wrath of those who feel they are married to the players) I have lost track of how many starting line ups the Kings have had, and how many adjusted rotations depending on what ever X factor match up the coach fears he is facing. This type of inconsistent line ups just leads to confusion and constant losing.

I am a fan of the Kings... I also want to watch GOOD games... I cannot pontificate all about the various nuances of this game and I do not spend my life on forums or blogs trying to convince anyone how much I know about this game (obvious DUH on many accounts, and I actually have a life outside a keyboard and screen) I will repeat that I am a "Fan"... which to many means I know nothing... but I do know the Kings are not fun to watch right now... I do know this feels much like last year... I do know that being inconsistent leads to being inconsistent and yet can have some constant results (multiple line up reference). I do know that a coach who has a penchant and history of being an "Offense" oriented coach will not delivery us a "Defense" oriented team... but with constant line up changes you impact the offense as well.

I am in sales and have had my most successful years and top ten national rankings when my manager recognized my strengths and I was forced to work on my weakness... and that same management gave specific and "Consistent" marching orders as to what my goals were, the message never wavered. The targets and goals were beaten into all of us while at the same time rewarding us for our efforts (besides the "WINS" we had in sales) along the way and learning what motivated  each individual. Some on the team did not like this particular manager and he was not as well liked as other managers because he was tough... he also had a better and consistent sales team then the other managers year after year.

Yes basketball players get paid handsomely regardless of performance, where a sales person suffers for the lack of effort and truly gets paid in relation to their performance... but why is it in a sports game some teams with far less talent do so much better?  Coaching... forget needing a leader on the floor... the Kings need a true "Leader" on the sidelines and in the gym during practice... I think the Kings are a better team then their record if they had better guidance and someone who was tougher on them for good reason... and unfortunately the only thing they are finally being consistent at is losing... so I guess the inconsistency is paying off.

Sactown Royalty Trip down memory lane... trade with Houston...

Kings Grab the 23rd Pick from Houston

In case you missed Wednesday night's finale -- which concentrated more on the plights of San Antonio, Dallas and Portland than Ike Diogu's latest explosion -- thanks to a series of dominoes the Kings have ended up with the 23rd pick in June's draft.

Houston sent its first-round pick with lottery protections to the Kings in the Ron Artest trade.

The Kings are guaranteed a top-four pick, as well as No. 23 and No. 31 in this year's draft. Here are the players currently slotted No. 20 to 26 on DraftExpress' mock draft.

Craig Brackens (F/C, Iowa State), B.J. Mullens (C, Ohio State), Jrue Holiday (G, UCLA), Patrick Patterson (F, Kentucky), Chase Budinger (G/F, Arizona), Austin Daye (F, Gonzaga), Sam Young (G, Pitt).

The draft might be packed with legit stars at the top, but it's a fairly deep draft. It actually seems like the so-called weakness of the draft has spurred more underclassmen to enter, with the assumption they can rise easily with a good pre-draft session. This, of course, serves to make the draft deeper.

With three of the first 31 picks, that's a good thing for the Kings.

--------------------

We had no idea this trade and the picks would be THIS DAMN GOOD!!! Greene & Casspi for Ron Ron... WTG GP... BRILLIANT!
