I read an article on CSN Bay Area that referenced a recent conference call Larry Riley had with STHs. On the call, Riley said that he believed Nelson was still the right coach for the team and he wanted him to continue coaching next season. Did any Did anyone participate in this call? If so, can you share any info?

Golden State Of Mind A Desperate Plea to Bay Area Warriors Fans

<!--StartFragment-->

I currently live in LA but I grew up in the Bay Area so I’ve been a Warriors fan for over 25 years. What I found most disheartening from tonight’s game isn’t the lost; it’s the fact that the Arena was sold out, there apparently weren’t any unified chants of “SELL THE TEAM” or “FIRE BOB-BY”, and that the general consensus for those in attendance is, “another tough but entertaining loss and that’s enough for me”.

It’s not enough. We deserve better and we can get it, but it’ll require us to start a movement. Let me be clear…I love the Warriors but I can’t support this ownership anymore until there are serious changes. I want either 1) Cohan to sell, or 2) Rowell to be fired. Would you be happier if either happened? If so, we need to let Cohan and Rowell know, not by posting on blogs and forums. Cohan needs to feel it BIG TIME in the pocketbook and our displeasure needs to be heard on a national level.

FINANCIAL - Don’t buy tickets to the games. As long as the arena sells, there is no reason for Cohan to sell or change because he is MAKING MONEY! I’ve done the little things that I can do from afar: As tough as it was for me, I cancelled my League Pass and stopped buying Warriors gear. I emailed the NBA and told them I would gladly re-up as soon as Chris Cohan sells the team.

PROTEST FOR THE NATIONAL PRESS - If you must go to games, start protest chants at the game. I’m not saying do it the entire game, just maybe one chat a half of either “SELL THE TEAM” or “FIRE BOB-BY”.  I promise you the press will pick up on it. Even clueless Dolan relented to the New York fans and replaced Isiah after protesters gathered outside of MSG and fans inside kept chanting “FIRE ISIAH”.

On a night in which the Miami Heat retired Tim Hardaway’s number (you kiddin’ me, the Miami Heat ???) I’m pleading with my Bay Area fans to  start the movement. I can’t stand another 15 years of this.
