Hey guys, we were at this morning's practice and I wanted to pass along a few things. 

Nicklas Grossman skated, looked a little stiff and slow to begin with, I'm not sure he is ready for game action, could go either way.  He was in good spirits.   

I spoke to Jere Lehtinen, asked him how he was feeling, his one word response, "Bad".  That didn't sound too promising.  He was definitely not in good spirits.  Marty Turco was very subdued as well. 

Ribeiro made an appearance and seemed in good spirits as well, signing autographs and talking to fans on the way in and on his way out. 

While there wasn't much activity on ice, there was a lot of activity off ice.  GM Joe Nieuwendyk and Director of Scouting Les Jackson were there with several others and the official word was that they were meeting with all their scouts.  Interestingly enough, one of those "scouts" had on a Washington Capitals golf shirt?  Hmm.  Probably means nothing but we couldn't help but speculate. 

UPDATE by Brandon Worley: Just so we're clear, there are zero indications of any trade talks with Washington. There have been rumblings, however, that the Stars have been interested in Montreal's Jaroslav Halak, who would come at a steep price. But what about Turco? Well, as noted by Pierre LeBrun, the Stars could be shopping Turco at the trade deadline. It's also being openly mentioned that the Stars will almost certainly be moving on without Turco after this season.
