Bullets Forever Trade for Tayshaun Prince

Picking up Tayshaun Prince is something Grunfeld should look in to this off season.  Detroit is possibly looking to move him and the Wizards would be wise to offer some combination of either Etan or Mike James, what ever lottery pick we get (unless it's top two), and either Andray Blatche, Taser, or Nick Young.

Prince already knows Flip and his system.  I see him coming off the bench first, giving us a solid and versatile defender and good spot up shooting.  He would be a veteran presence in the locker room having won a ring in 2004, having gone to the finals 4 times, in addition to his stint with the Olympic team this past summer.

His contract isn't exactly cheap, $45 million over five years, expiring 2011.  But I think he could be a great fit for the Wiz offense and he would absolutely help them defensively.  And getting that one last piece just might be worth sacraficing some of the young talent and taking on Prince's contract (which would certianly push the team further in to the luxury tax).
