Drogba & Hazard sign on to Kanouté statement condeming Israel's attack on Gaza

Club legend Didier Drogba and star Eden Hazard joined 62 other top flight footballers and signed on to Frederic Kanouté's statement condeming Israel's attack on Gaza and general treatment of the Palestinian people, also calling on UEFA to strip Israel of the upcoming U21 games from Israel.

Great Piece on Victor Moses

The lad is hungry for games and goals. He has an amazing, inspiring story, and also, I believe, a bright future at Stamford Bridge. Don't know what the bit about Barcelona is though.

Jovetic bags brace in Viola win

I'll just leave this here. You know what to do, Emenalo

United in For "Zorro"

Wondering if anyone has thoughts on Hector Herrera of Pachuca. He looked a cracker in the Olympics. As a fan of Mexico and Mexican players, I would love for Chels to increase its Mexican quotient. I checked over on some Man Utd forums but couldn't find a profile of him, so I was wondering if anyone has strong opinions about him, and if Chelsea should try to pip this one too. He might be cheap and handy in the pivot...

Haha! Bleacher Report Hack gets slaughtered in comments

A Bleacher Report writer gets taken to task in his comment section for saying Chelsea have no need of a Modric type player. Typical senseless BR garbage, but the readers call him out on it and force him to add the CM option to his poll! Hilarious

Time to catch Spurs napping yet again

Let's hijack yet another Brazilian bound for Spurs! Perhaps new boy Oscar can do some persuading... CHELSEA 2012-13: BRAZELGIUM-TASTIC!!

Chelsea must go all out for Sahin

Nuri Sahin is a regista currently withering in the Real Madrid basket. Upon hearing of his impending loan, Sahin was less than pleased, especially that "there is no option for Arsenal to buy him at the end of [his loan deal.]" Uncle Roman should step in here with the cash & try to nab Sahin outright. Sure, it will be pricey, but he is unsettled & Mourinho's arrogant comments may pave the way out. In my opinion, he is the next best thing to a Modric in midfield, and he is younger & left-footed, an ideal partner for Mikel, Essien or Romeu in the pivot, and a great component of any midfield 3.

Who Made The Dent In The European Cup?

Dave Barnard, the club secretary, had retired to his room cradling the trophy and charged with keeping it close. "Because, if it had gone missing, it would have been his fault," said Buck....

Baggarly on Freddy Sanchez's latest setback

It's grim time in Freddy town. I was hoping he could be back soon, but Sabean's favorite "Never been injured iron man" Sanchez looks pretty close to done, at least according to Baggs. This is bad, yet not so surprising news & makes the prompt return of Sandoval all the more essential. Get well soon Ryan Theriot! (Ugh)

Mourinho's "Blue Rib"

The excellent Sid Lowe in Spain with his summary of manager reactions from today's semifinal, which featured the defeat of Real Madrid by Bayern Munich in a penalty shootout. The Jose who won all...
