As I close my eyes at night thinking about ways to fix the world, one of my dreams is how to repair college football. College football is broken, can't you see? There are 5 undefeated teams in the FBS. Yet, through a maze of numbers, TV contracts and sponsorships, 3 of those teams won't get a chance to play for the National Championship.

Fans cart the goal posts away from Faurot Field into downtown Columbia yesterday after the No. 25 Missouri Tigers defeated the Kansas Jayhawks 41-23 to go 2-0 for the first time since 1987 (!!!!) Nearly 60,000 people attended the game. The Tigers, who avenged last year's disappointing upset loss to the Jayhawks, now lead the storied football rivalry 50-48-9
So I'm home in the Columbia area for the first time in something like 3 years and I brought my g/f and daughter with me. Going through some old photos, I came across this gem from 1982. Proving once again that I've been a Mizzou fan since birth.

Or something to that effect. Anyhow, I haven't been to see my family in the Columbia area in over 3 years and I figure it's time to take my 10 month old home to see the family. I'll be home during Thanksgiving hate week and instead of going to Kansas City to the game, I think I'll just enjoy the game at a bar in Columbia.

Here's some information about the 2009 Soccer team as it begins Big 12 Tournament play in San Antonio. The Lady Tigers are 7-1-2 in conference play this year and are the regular season champions.
