Here Comes the Hotstepper
As we all know, this beloved organization of ours, the Kansas City Chiefs, have not won a playoff game since 1994. Just to put that in perspective here is the Billboard top 10 for 1994:
1. Here Comes the Hotstepper - Kamoze, Ini
2. Baby, I Love Your Way - Frampton, Peter
3. Can We Talk? - Babyface [1]
4. The Sign - Berggren, Jonas "Jo
5. Bump N' Grind - Kelly, R.
6. Now and Forever - Marx, Richard
7. Regulate - Griffin, Warren
8. MMM, MMM, MMM, MMM - Roberts, Brad
9. If You Go - Secada, Jon
10. Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia) - Hancock, Herbie
Wow, we need a playoff win. I'd be happy enough with 6 regular season wins next season, but we need a plan in place to win a playoff game asap.
What is Larry worth???
I've read several post saying we could only get a 4th or 5th rounder out of LJ. Some say a 2nd (although I believe that's just a stretch to make their mock drafts look better).
My question is: What sort of player could we get out of him? A decent OLineman would be nice. Edgerrin James wants out of AZ too, could we just swap? How about Derek Anderson? LJ and 4th rounder for Anquan Boldin?
My point is: I think we can get alot more out of LJ by trading for a player than the oh so coveted draft picks. LJ has value. I don't want to compare him to Randy Moss exactly, but hey NE got Moss for a 4th round pick (and we all know how that worked out). I don't think Larry is done in this league I just think he is done with the Chiefs, and if we have to trade him, I think we can get more value by trading him for a proven veteran player. Lord knows Hermie won't go for it because who ever it is I'm sure they'll be over 23 years old, but it's not like being the youngest team in the league did anything for us in 08.
Just speculating while losing sleep over the GM hunt.........
