Throughout the summer so far in FA, many of us (including myself) have had all our attention in the goaltending spot, and wondering why we have so many defense men. I believe the acquisition of Zherdev was greatly overlooked, and after watching this video I have become extremely anxious to see this guy in the orange and black. He is extremely skilled and has one of the better wrist shots I have seen in a while. If we put this guy on a line with Richards and Carter on the other side, they could do some serious damage. I know that he has had previous problems with being lazy, but if this guy has his head on straight he could easily become a 30 goal scorer playing with skilled line mates. Am I getting my hopes up or is there a reason there hasn't been much hype around Zherdev? (example: laziness and lack of defense?)
