I believe it is now time for the "Airing of Grievances" . We have many this year. Do it now, get it off your chest so you can enjoy the rest of the holidays and the upcoming bowl games. No sense in wasting the time you are going to spend with friends and family carrying around all that raeg!

We all feel sick right now.  It's going to get worse.  A sick man (allegedly) did terrible things.  Others did wrong in the aftermath.  Lives were ruined and the children won't be the same.  I can't fully comprehend it right now and there is still much that we do not know. 

I do know one thing.  Not one player on this team has anything to do with this.  They have played their hearts out and found ways to win.  I don't care if you think the QB's suck.  I wish that was all we had to talk about.  But we have a shot at winning our division and even the B1G.

I have seen comments and tweets that people are not going to the game on Saturday in protest.  Guess what, Curley and Spanier don't care if you come or not.  The players, however, do.  They often praise "the best fans in the country" on Twitter and in the press.  Both Devon Still and Jordan Hill have tweeted me in the past to say thanks for the support when I said something about them. 

Don't give up on them because of what is happening at the top.  It's not their fault, it's out of their control and they don't deserve it.  Go to the game.  You can be proud of them and still be disgusted but what is going on.

The ticket exchange thread has fallen off the page, and at this point I don't know how much attention threads are getting.  Also, no one reads the FanShots.  Wanted to give BSD folks the first shot.  These are in EJ, row 9.  Face value.  Let me know in the thread and I'll email you my cell number.

I never, ever check my letsgopsu email.  So shame on me.  I felt even worse when I check it today and saw this which I received in August:

I’m on an aircraft carrier and we have a thing going on with the pilots here with mustaches…. I personally do a beard. Today we sabotaged the medical department with penn state flags.  They’re all Alabama fans and have their Alabama stuff all over.  While they were out at chow we broke into their offices and replaced everything Alabama with penn state.

The young man who wrote this can read BSD but not post.  Penn State spirit has a long reach.  So does the power of the Stache. 

Athletes and fans are superstitious.  They won't shower or shave for fear it will break a streak.  They wear the same clothes (hey Not Carlotta!) over and over.  Eat the same food.  Rub the gnomes belly (seriously, there was a guy in our section who would bring his PSU Gnome to the game and pass it around for everyone to rub.  I may do that this year).  

We are seeing the start of another great tradition.  The STACHE.  It worked for Josh Hull.  Will it work for Mike Zordich?  I think yes.  

And you can help.  Yes, you men of BSD.  Time for your to Stache up.  Grow some facial hair.  Do it for your team.  I promise you will earn the eternal love and devotion of the Divas.  Bonus points for a photo

I know parts of PA have their own issues right now, but if you can, you all may want to drop in on our friends at RollBamaRoll.  A massive twister hit Tuscaloosa and the damage is incredible.  From the comments it sounds like they are finding debris 100 miles away, and parts of the city are just gone.  Here is the link to their thread.  From what I saw on Facebook, Paige is in her "safe place".  

For those of you in the areas affected by the storms tonight, hope you all stay safe also.

I know their bat signal must be going up while I type this, but it was too good to resist.  Senator Sweatervest signed autographs and proud fans lined up.  He only lied for the kids, after all!  The photos are numbered.  I except great things, as always.  Now, I am off to pack my bags for my trip to hell, where I am sure I am going for posting this.

Would you let your kid dress like Tressel and get his/her photo taken?  Is a jersey acceptable attire for an event like this?  Why won't Jimmy look up?

As an antidote to that asshat CT Booster story, here's a link to a story about a NEPA resident and fan who died this week.  I think you will all like what he stood for.  Jay went to his funeral today.

One of the things I love most about the PSU fan base is looking around the stadium and knowing that so many people in there are blue collar guys like my Dad who got to attend a game maybe once a year.  They didn't go to Penn State. They didn't go to college, period.  But they loved Penn State.  They are the reason there are still over 100,000 fans at the Kent State game.  They probably got the ticket from a season ticket holder who didn't care to see Kent State, and they either gave the ticket away or sold it for below face (this is the reason I got to attend some games, before I got lucky and got access to season tickets and could afford to pay for them).  They don't care where their seat is.  Or how much the hot dog was, or that there was piped in music and that they had to listen to Sweet Caroline.  They thought it was all awesome.

The Champeen-ship game is on tonight!  But if you don't care about the Ducks and the richest amateur player in the NCAA there is an alternative.  If you thought the pregnant teens on MTV were bad, wait until you see the supposedly adult bims on The Bachelor.  Trust me, there will be plenty to laugh and poke fun at, whatever you chose!  So join me, won't you....
