Bucs Dugout Could Pirates be trade partners with Giants Again?

With Buster Posey being out and SF giants bringing someone up from the minors, could the Pirates be a good trading partner considering we have Ryan Doumit who could replace Posey's lost offense to a SF Giant team that's been struggling. And if we were to consider trading, would the SF Giants have anyone we would want?

While the article states that he could possibly be back in 1 month or even 2 months. I find it highly unlikely that it's that quick.

Bucs Dugout Of the 2010 Pirate Rookies this year......

I know we've all talked about movement of players and possible new players to be added and subtracted to the buccos, but i thought it would be fun to discuss next year as far as...(and hopefully this wasn't posted before since I've been checking the fan posts occasionally)

Of the 2010 Rookies..

Is there a Dark Horse that will surprise the Buccos next year (a la Neil Walker)?

Who will regress?

Who will make a major leap in progress from this year to next?

Of all the current pirates on the team, who will rebound to have a good year next year (assuming 2010 bad year)?

Right now I think Andrew McCutchen has played well, but I was hoping for much after his rookie season, so hopefully he plays and rebounds much better next year.

There's a good chance Neil Walker regresses...I don't know why I say that but to me it just seems that he's played so well this year beyond my expectations that I expect the other shoe to drop sometime.

Pedro Alvarez would be the easy pick to make the major leap in progress from this year to next year, but I think Jose Tabata may make more progress next year (i.e. hoping for a bit more power).

Bucs Dugout Why in the World?

Why in the world are the Pirates making Steve Pearce Play 3B at Indy? It doesn't make sense (it's like they want all their players to be versatile as possible). Or is it they have no one really to play at 3B in Indy?

It just makes ...no sense at all...I read he did SS a long time ago...maybe high school. So far he's played OF, and 1B. Now at 3B to his resume....why not SS Then? lol....If he plays decent SS, the bats a big bonus lol.

Bucs Dugout What is the PBC MLB Budget?

Does anyone know how much money, Bob Nutting could spend on the PBC if and when they become successful? I mean is it somewhere around 60M or is it capped lower?

I suppose Park Attendance could adjust that figure too, but just wondering how deep of pockets Nutting really has. I mean I don't think he's a George Steinbrener moneyman, or say Texas Rangers or Dodgers, but but realistically where should the Pirates Team Payroll be at in the coming years?
