It might be good that the Steelers lost to the Titans

Right now, Titans are the 1st seed and Steelers are the 2nd seed

The last two seeds, are the Ravens and Colts (5th and 6th seeds) because they are the two wildcard teams

The 3th and 4th seed will be the winner of the AFC East and either the Broncos or Chargers

For example: If the Dolphins and Broncos win next week, they will play the Ravens and Colts

If either the Broncos or Dolphines win againt the wild card team, they would go to Pittsburgh, and either the Ravens or Colts would go to Tennessee.

Because the upper seed team would go to Pittsburgh and the lower seed team would go to Tennessee.

Bengals Fan beaten up by Steeler fan?

Is this for real?

Steelers Fan Adds Injury to Insult at Cincy Game

Tuesday, October 21, 2008
Posted By Chris Mottram 4:05 PM

It’s not fun being a Bengals fan right now. It’s bad enough that your team is winless, but you have Carson Palmer on the brink of reconstructive surgery, your head coach laughin’ it up at each Monday press conference when, clearly, nothing is funny about this season, and Chad Johnson is still on your team.

So, not surprisingly, fans started unloading their tickets for the rest of the season last week. And if the horrible product on the field is already starting to drive away fans, stories like Randy’s won’t help.

See, Randy -- pictured after the game in that blurry photo -- is a lifelong Bengals fan who took his daughter to her first ever football game, along with his wife, on Sunday. Some might consider this child and/or spousal abuse, but that’s another story. The family was having a super awesome day of tailgating, playing corn hole, watching their team get ripped to shreds by the Steelers ... and then this happened:

--
My wife and daughter went to the restroom. The [Steelers fan] directly behind me kept going on about Mike Brown and I finally said, "At least he isn't selling our team. You guys might end up the LA Steelers.” I never turned around once or confronted anyone. It was just banter during the game. Let's face it, it's pretty hard to come up with anything to defend this franchise currently. Besides this wasn't a fan on the losing side they were well on there way to victory.

The next thing I know I felt a crushing blow to the side of my face. I fell, not really sure where since it knocked me out. I woke up in the security office with my face being attended to. I was covered in blood and my face was a mess. When I fell I must have hit a railing and went face first to the concrete stairs. I have a broken wrist and a bruised knee.
--

Oh sweet irony. Randy got beat up for defending the owner of a team that has been emotionally beating down Randy for years. But on the bright side, I'm sure his daughter wasn't emotionally damaged at all from her first football game.

===

Well I Googled, and I found hisentire entire story here:

http://forum.go-bengals.com/index.php?showtopic=45443&mode=threaded

and it links the original story off of here:

http://www.thelotd.com/lance

and that guy has an update:

I can hear Lee Greenwoods' Proud To Be An American playing in the background
And you wonder why things are the way they are?
Check out Lot D reaction to this fan being beaten at the game Sunday:

*I'm just saying, there is a 50-50 chance that Randy couldve asked for it.
*I'm hearing that this Randy clown was running his mouth more then he has let us to believe.
*Sounds to me like this guy is just trying to get some FREE TICKETS! What a Mr. FOOD STAMP move this is!
*Randy totally deserved to get punched in the face. This is a gentleman's game, no place for a drunken loudmouth. You disgrace the colors sir.
*Besides the blood on the ground by Randy R's
seat, there were 6 plastic Miller lite bottles that he had been downing at a pretty
good rate. Randy was Drunk also !
*sounds like this Randy clown was drunk and running his mouth too.
*There are always exceptions but I'm beginning to think people are just making stuff up out of sheer frustration.

===

I have no idea who/what Lot D is...

Is there any chance the Steelers can restructure Max Starks contract?

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08113/875393-66.stm

quote:

---

That $7 million is a big chunk for the Steelers to pay anyone in one season and, in fact, would be the most the club has paid in salary for one season.

Their goal is to change that by negotiating a long-term contract with Starks that would pay him a signing bonus and thus reduce the $7 million hit on their salary cap for 2008.

"It would give us salary cap relief and that has been our goal when we did put the transition tag on Max," said Kevin Colbert, the Steelers' director of football operations.

---end---

So the Steelers have a desire to restructure his contract. If Max Starks would take a pay cut, that would be great for the Steelers...

But I have a feeling that Max Starks won't budge. I have a feeling that he would not volunteer to take a pay cut.

Larry Zierlein seems very conservative...

Larry Zierlein, the Steelers Offensive Line Coach seems very conservative.

He's 61 years old.

I have been doing a Psychology Profile on him similar to that of the CIA and KGB.

I must study him from afar so we will use the forensic psychology that the FBI uses to track down serial killers; by studying their actions we will get a mental make-up of the suspect.

By having Sean Mahan starting right now, that tells me that he is scared of Justin Hartwig being injury prone.

His worst fear is having Kemo and Hartwig in the starting line-up and both of them getting injured and than they will be forced to play musical chairs in mid-season and reshuffling the entire Offensive Line.

He would put Hartwig in the starting line-up if he is a lot better than Mahan. If he is only slightly better than Mahan than he would rather go with the guy who is less injury prone.

For further evaluation of subject Larry Zierlein I would need him to take the Briggs Myers Personality Profile Test; which is the same exam that the CIA gives it's recruits.

This will tell us what happens to him under stressful situations.

You can take the test here for free:

http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm

Copy your 4 letter result.

Look at the result here in these pages:

It is very interesting:

http://www.uniphiz.com/digital_physiognomy/personality-types.htm

http://psy.rin.ru/cgi-bin/eng/razdel.pl?r=28

Scroll down there to: Personality Types Under Stress

I want to breed football players for the NFL

I am a single male. I want to marry a naturally strong woman with big bones and impregnate her with a son and breed football players for the National Football League.

I will make him exercise a lot and stuff...

If she can knock down a small man with her forearm, that would be a big plus.

What I mean by a 'naturally' strong woman is that I don't want a female bodybuilder with muscles. That is disgusting.

She must have a normal body like a big female powerlifter.

Some Inside Scoop Info on Steelers Training Camp

1.

http://nflfromthesidelines.blogspot.com/

Monday, July 28, 2008
Afternoon delight - by: Dale Lolley
from NFLonthesidelines

Either LaMarr Woodley is going to be a beast this season or the Steelers' offensive line - and right tackles in particular - really stinks.

Woodley was unblockable in the one-on-one drills this afternoon by either Willie Colon or Max Starks.

Neither is going to be a Pro Bowler anytime soon, but they are legitimate NFL offensive linemen. So maybe Woodley is just that damn good.

I spoke with the second-year linebacker after practice and he's really raring to go this season after languishing on the bench a bit last season as a backup to Clark Haggans (?).

I know. Haggans had one of the least productive seasons of any outside linebacker in the past 15 seasons for the Steelers. And for whatever reason, they still kept running him out there.

That won't be the case this season and Woodley is going to put up monster numbers.

Somebody else who stood out this afternoon was second-year defensive lineman Ryan McBean.

They were using McBean on punt coverage and he was really getting down the field well for a 290-pounder. This team hasn't had a young defensive lineman to use as a wedge buster the past couple of seasons, but McBean could be that guy.

Rookie running back Rashard Mendenhall shows good learning ability. After being beaten a couple of times in backs-on-backers blocking, the No. 1 pick picked up his game after that and stoned some guys.

He looks good with the ball in his hands, too, slipping through holes.

Posted by Dale Lolley at 5:57 PM

The D-Line is a bigger question mark then the O-Line. The Steelers have absolutely no depth on the Ends. Aaron Smith is one of the most underrated players in the NFL. How important he is to the Steelers became evident last season. Casey Hampton is still a solid player but he is nowhere near the player he use to be. Brett Keisel is the most overrated player on the team. I don't know why the local media is so high on him. Keisel had two sacks last season and in reality he's a backup at best who plays well when he comes in for spot duty. He doesn't perform well enough to be a everydown starter but the Steelers are stuck with him. We already know what to expect from Travis Kirschke and Nick Eason. Two players to keep an eye on are Ryan McBean and undrafted rookie Kyle Clement. McBean could be a sleeper in camp who moves up the depth chart.

continued... (with talk of linebackers and safeties)
