In the next couple weeks a ton of players are going to be released and there are two that i already find as good pick ups for the lions... Napolean Harris can come in and play MLB and maybe teach this Levy guy i thing or two, but do not bring back paris lenon... another intresting guy is Leroy Hill. idk if he is a ILB or OLB.. if inside then i think we shoud sign him.. anyways who do u guys think will let go and who do u think the lions will sign.... im pretty sure avien cason, micheal gains, casey fitzimmons, and drew henson will all be released

To all those fans that didnt get what they wanted, chill out. I wanted Curry also, but that doesnt mean when i dont get my way i cry like a bitch. It wasnt too long ago that pretty much all of you were praising Mayhew and the job he has done so far, so why stop now. Trust in his decisions, he has spent the last 2 months researching every possible player. The one thing i dont want to see a single fan do is not give Stafford a fight, even though you may not like him he hasnt done anything wrong. He says all the right things, even though they may not be true, and he had the right kind of attitude to lead a team. If Stafford does in fact become a franchise QB, then all of you will jump on the band wagon. Also, the defense is not being ignored, the last time i checked we still have 4 more picks.  Im not a good writer, but what im basically trying to say is trust in the management and support Stafford.

The only problem i have with this is that there is no dominant DT to come in and contribute right away. Some people are saying that Curry could slip all the way to 12, i dont think it will happen, but if it did then the lions would be stupid not to trade for example 20, and 3rd to move up and grab him.

There are rumors (just rumors) that Denver wants to trade their 12th and 18th pick to move up and grab a QB. I dont no why they would because i think that Orton is decent, not good, but decent. However, i believe that the lions should act like they are .000001 sec away from taking stafford, so then Denver would trade there 12th and 18th to the lions, instead of the rams or KC or Seattle. This is unlikely because nobody wants the first pick, but I would be 100% in favor of it. The lions would have the12, 18, 20, 33, 65, 82, that would be the sickest draft of all time. I wouldnt even know who to draft at that point, there are soo many options. Like i said unlikely situation, but would be sick.

You guys have probably gotten a hundred of these because I know that we lions fans have. I am representing the Seahawks in the Pride of Detroit Mock draft and I was wandering what you believe your teams biggest need is because everybody thinks ours is QB, but we beg to differ. In our mock draft it is pretty much gaurnteed that Stafford will be waiting there for Seattle to pick him. I believe that Seattle is one of the best places for Stafford to go and have success because he can sit on the bench and have Hasselback mentor him for a year or so. In other mock drafts, people have Seattle taking a DE or a OT. What is that you guys want and if there is a link to a post where this question has already been answered then please give it to me.

I wouldnt mind curry at one but i believe that if u go curry one the u  have to go O-line at 20 and the line backers are better then the o-line. the draft is deep in both position but i believe that an elite player is needed at LT because u have to protect the blind side not a guy like beatty or whoever else u suggest. and there definitley is not going to be a good LT available at 33 i believe that after beatty  the T are career backups after that. so these are pretty much the scenarios

I like anything from 3-6 more than 1-2 simply because i dont trust britton or beatty to protect the blind side. i think they could be good RT just not LT. I guess you could argue that you take curry and jerry, then take a OG at 33 like duke robinson or alex mack, but then u have to keep backus at LT which simply is not his position. Some say curry is a sure thing but i believe that monroe or smith are just as sure  and u cant be sure but anything they thought charles rogers was the most sure pick back in the day look how that turned out. Others say we need curry to be our ray lewis (face of the franchise), but why cant Calvin be that or why cant monroe or smith be that just like Orlando pace was for so long in St louis

Before i lay down my mock draft, which is probably the best, i would like to adress something. Whenever i see stafford play or all of his highlights i get that feeling that he is going to be good (no im not gay). I am 99% sure that stafford is not the answer but does anybody else feel that that 1% is much larger then the 99. I get that feeling that this is going to be another guy the lions are going to be known for passing on. I honestly do believe one thing and thats if he had stayed in college for another year then he would have been the best quarterback available in the draft next year. I do not want to draft stafford but sometimes i get that small feeling that we should. i would also like to ask another question lets say by some miracle we dont draft stafford and he falls to like brady quinn did except only to like the 10th spot would u trade number 20 and a 3rd to move up and take him?

The only way cutler is coming to detroit is if denver gets a player to fill the void. even this situation i really dont see happenning. Essentially this is what detroit would ve giving up Roy williams (all the picks we got from roy) for jay cutler and i would do that any day. tell me what u think but this is the most logical of them

I can only think of one reason why curry wont go number one and that is the fear that he will be more retarded then the other curry in detroit... MICHAEL CURRY the pistons head coach. other than that i cant see a reason why shwartz is a densive guy mayhew and lewand reportedly already named culpepper starter. scott linehan had success with culpepper and i no it was a long time ago but still and cunningham would take anything he can get on the defensive end at curry is the best defensive player in the draft.. can any of you give me another reason why the lions wouldnt go with curry?
