Rivals of the Bay: The A's and the Giants

An issue that not all A's fans happen to discuss is our rivals across the bay. Some may argue the Giants are not rivals of the A's due to the fact that the Giants are in the NL and A's in the AL, but for many of us in the bay area, we go through day to day life passing by 2012 Championship merchandise. Common stores such as 7-11 and Caps feature hats with giants logos, yet no A's logos. Its understandable that there would be more Giants than A's merchandise due to their recent win, but this phenomenon has been going on for a long time.

After their 2010 World Series Win a massive amount of the Bay Area focused all of their attention to the Giants. Ticket prices skyrocketed and many people claimed the devotion to the Giants though they had never payed any real attention to baseball. Personally as an A's fan, I am infuriated at the lack of due attention the A's are given and feel obligated to promote the A's in any way I can.

I'm curious to know how all of you feel. Do you feel the same amount of hatred I do towards the Giants or are you at peace with their claim to fame. I feel it unfair that the Giants have become the team everyone cares about. Yesterday I even heard someone exclaim that they did not know the A's were in Oakland.

A's Sneakers?

What website sells the A's sneakers?? We know its rebok but we don't where to find it. We hope to find these as a christmas present and can't wait for Spring Training! This link will take you to a photo of the shoes. I saw some fans wearing them at a game was MINDBLOWN! I hope you will help me!! And thanks for being A's fans!!

We want Weeks

After watching a great game at the Coliseum, I couldn't help but feel disappointed that everyones favorite player #19 Jemile Weeks wasn't played. After being sent down to triple A in late August to Sacramento, Weeks was brought up fairly quickly. He played very well in Sacramento but has rarely been played lately. What i'm wondering now is if Weeks will ever be brought back to his former status and starting every game as he had in the past. The A's played both Rosales and Pennington today but did not play Jemile. My question is why Rosales over Weeks? Both have about a 220 AVG. but at least Weeks can run fast. Neither of them are particularly keen at fielding either but I feel Weeks is ready to improve after being sent his wake up call.
