New information is breaking about Richard Peters by way of Jim Basnight over athuskydigest.com. On Jim’s weekly radio show/podcast at about the 35 minute mark, Jim breaks down a recent conversation he had with Richard Peters.

Peters has received back his ACT scores and they meet UW’s eligibility requirements and now Peters needs to maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher to finish with his ability to re-classify to 2011.

However, Peters seems to think he will be a 2012 recruit and that either way he may plan on committing to UW, as he takes his unofficial visit to UW this weekend. Look for this to develop over the next week of recruiting as Romar and company either pull in Peters this year or they allow him to keep his classification as a 2012 recruit commit.

DeAngelo Casto's lawyer claims police were trespassing when they spotted him at a table with a child on his lap and rolling marijuana papers.  Is this for real?  So he admits being at a table with a child rolling a joint and WSU AD Moos does not suspend him.  Which is worse Overton giving alcohol to a 16 year old girl or rolling a joint with a child on your lap?  Sorry I may be old fashioned but I do not think a University can condone such behavior and both should have been kicked off the team.  Any other thoughts?

Overton made the following statement  " I’m going to be fine. I still can go on and play basketball. I’ve talked to a few people to try to go somewhere to get a workout. There’s always overseas or somewhere. The people that know me know that if I go somewhere else I’m not going to be this kind of player. … Once that’s over I’m going to really show what I can really do"

Does anyone understand what the H...  he is talking about "not going to be this kind of player .. show what I can really do"?  He is going to play professionally really?  Go somewhere else and not be this kind of player?  What can he do - did Romar hinder his style of play?  Can he actually shoot - can he play 5 minutes without making a bone headed play? 

Anybody have any thoughts or is it not worth thinking about?
