Michael is an architect and developer of the Vox Media publishing platform. Prior to joining Vox, he was a principal at Handwire, a software development consultancy in Austin, Texas, where he built XSN Sports, a ground-breaking community platform for Microsoft’s Xbox group; Access, a touchscreen kiosk wayfinding system for MD Anderson Cancer Center; and Easyjournal, an early blogging system acquired by Pluck. Michael also created Rubular, a popular tool for Ruby developers, and has a BA in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
