Does it get any better?
You're telling me the Heat, Mavericks, and Thunder lost, AND we personally beat the Lakers? Hot damn! Does a night in the NBA get any better for a Rockets fan?

Checkin' in with the Rivals
[From the FanPosts... enjoy. - Tom]
In a recent effort out of pity and to raise the esteem of the douchiest franchise in NBA history, Rockets owner Leslie Alexander invited rival team Utah Jazz to play an exhibition match against the Rockets Power Dancers, figuring that there was no way an NBA team full of grown ass men could possibly lose a game to some cheerleaders.
To no one's surprise, though, what ensued was one of the most hardcore beatdowns in bball history, 126-43 in favor of the dancers. The event wasn't televised, but luckily a photo has finally surfaced.

The Great Free Agent Hunt that never pays off (for us, at least)
"Hey, Jason Friedman, here, and I have no idea of what the hell I'm trying to do here."
Lord knows we're trying to land a free agent of some upper class merit this summer, as we always try to do. I mean Morey's got Jason Friedman and the Red Rowdies on a freaking wild goose chase through the southern u.s. called the "Free Agency Caravan" (see here). How is this, in anyway, luring the All-Stars to flock to Houston? Idk. Nobody knows, but I'll be damned if every year we're not doing something to get those assholes to look our way whether we're writing letters of courtly love to Marcin Gortat, or having Daryl himself show up at the doors of players at midnight within the hour of the beginning of The Great Free Agent Hunt (Sorry about that, Chris, we didn't mean to wake you).
But, we gotta face it: we're a gamble in everyone's eyes. When's the last time we've gone a full season without our best players gettin brusied up and bailing on us? Or, fuck, even half of a season? Nobody wants to join this camp and end up having to carry us 3 months later because of injuries(For Example See: Ron Artest, Aaron Brooks in past 2 seasons) and they shouldn't be expected to.
How bout we get out there with this legit squad we got now, tear up some Western Conference ass, and make the FA's come to us, and quit this clown and pony act of selling ourselves out. What do you retards think?

Should T-Mac sit the bench at first?
The last thing we need right now is an A.I. situation, where a declining superstar thinks he is undeservingly riding the pine while his team is out there stinking it up. But, that's the thing, the Rockets aren't sucking. I'm willing to say that right now we easily have one of the top 10, possibly higher, sets of team chemistry right now and everyone is benefitting from it: the starters, bench, rookies, and front office (gah I mean we're winning some games on a D-League salary). So, rather than having the whole team try to adapt to T-Mac's style of play, why don't we let him, for once, adapt to this team's style of play, packing on the points when we need him most. We don't want or need a superstar right now getting his 30 pts at the expense of a 14 for 40 effort, we need a guy who'll provide that shooting threat and create opportunities for that vast supply of untapped talent around him. Do you guys think T-Mac can make it in this system, add to it, or should we just cut our losses and trade him for a more well rounded team player and save some cash, while the winnings are up right now?
