I live in Dallas now,, you dont hear about the mavericks too much down here out of season because of the 8 major college and the nfl team taking the spot light and we arent even going to go into the high school foot ball, with the air conditioned luxury suites and press boxes... I worked in san antonio for a week... all I heard were complaints about manu playing  in the olympics and how they were going to be in trouble in the western confernce finals..  the more I hear thier pompous bull crap , the more I realize how much i love my blazers... having a sweet team  ,(the deepest in the history of the league is what is circulating in these parts by the way,, they do know about the blazers here because of lamarcus )  is icing on the cake..im not a fan im a  blazer,,and ill be one if we go on this 12 year run or end up in  the lottery again 12 times..  no matter where we end up or where I end up im a blazer just sayin

If you have an astute college educated gm that  was and im pretty sure still a good basketball player,  one who played in a top rated program, one who played on a national champion, one who learned the game from a hall of fame coach in Larry Brown,, ..one who then went to work for the spurs and learned how to build a champion from the internal and up close teachings of greg popavich,,  one who has a laptop computer that has the software that his boss mr microsoft has loaded onto it.. one who does not make choices on the fly but is very  studious and involves all his staff 

why are we second guessing the man who took brandon roy and lamrcus aldridge  over adam morrison and the head case kid in chicago......  sit back and relax.....

Im moving to virginia beach virginia on august 5th.. the good thing is ill be making $1000 a week,, the bad thing is i cant see the blazers,,maybe when they play the wizzards  i guess..but my question is  i have have to live out of motel rooms for a year..does anyone know if you cant get  live stream to a lap top  or even tape delayed...life is so cruel..first comcast ,,now a career.. whats next a championship parade that i cant attend!!

Now i am aware that this is a subject that  has been addressed but i need to just put my 2 cents in..I posted that "baddest man on the planet " post on purpose.. It was a one man protest to say that blazer fans come in all colors, sizes, and  educational back grounds.  I am sure that there are blazer fans who cant even read  or write  (my grand father was one god rest his soul  and im not ashamed to admit it) what makes you think that because a person dosent express themselves in an eloquent and  formal way  that their opinions are not worthy of consideration.. what you are doing is making people who are timid and meek scared to say any thing, and in my opinion that dilutes this site,   I would never stoop so low as to assassinate  the character  of those offenders and say something like "you probably have the personality of a door knob"  I would never do that,  I wanted to go and look at the  collection of posts  of the edgers who are so preocupied and see what meaningful contributions  do they make to this site.. but unfortunately I dont own any hip boots..

How do you qualify as being the " best" player in the world...needless to say  he will never play for the trail blazers under this regime...  its not culterish  ..  this bad man needs to be a selfish scoring me first  player.. his attitude needs to say .." i dare you to try and guard me..   kobe, labron, kevin, dwayne, paul,  this player needs to make the average man want to bypass wendys, and mcdonald for a week to go and see him when he comes to town  this player  needs to make the nba schedule games because of his presence (one vote for greg) , he needs to make the game seem as if the average guy on the assembly line or in a suit in an office feel like " I can do that" when in reality by the time you got down the floor the play would have been over.... he needs to be the first player in the gym and the last one out..just to set an example.. he needs to be fan friendly, have marketable skills and be a supreme athlete (one vote for brandon)  he needs to have an extremly high basket ball I Q     he' knows what he is supposed to do and what the other four players are doing on every play in the book.. He needs to be an outstanding defensive player.. and above all he needs big hands...for real  .. you need big hands

This off week  i was bombarded with l*aker and celtic rhetoric, even given an opportunity to watch rasheed and scottie  dissapear again ... no thanks.. ...a lot of ex blazers have played in some meaningful  celtic or laker games..thats what held me..watching the ex blazers compete

have you noticed how many high lite clips involve the blazers?..out side of bill walton and clyde drexler all our other clips are of us getting embarrased trounced or posteriized

 and how many nba best and personal records have come at our expense

we are very deserving of what our future is going to be we deserve a break ..we deserve a stallion in this one horse town...we want the best, and we have it, at least have have a team that you have to respect. every body in the league knows who we are and cant say any thing bad about us..how can you argue the fact that greg, rudy, brandon and lamarcus, have chances  be the best four  players in the world at their postions in the next 5 years... but  we fans can turn real quick .. they all but hung greg pop on a cross in spursville   while he was coach and gm.. remember that once upon a time his career was in jeapordy, funny how a super star    can make you the man. riely, popavich, jackson borwn (larry not hubie) rivers,scott...and next year mc millian.  every one is hyped on greg and rudy... I bet brandon roy comes back and has a blazer record setting year. dont over look this man and he is seeing that we are. its not rudys team or gregs..its brandons .. brandon roy.. NBA Allstar

I know im going to get "torched" on this one but the  nba dosent care about its players smoking mary jane!!  they only address it because of the public outrage!!!  we know its illegal and ill moral , we know that it will be legal and probably still ilmoral one day,  we "know "that at least   70% percent of the league blazes up.. and id venture to say that the only blazer i would bet my life on not smoking pot would be travis,,,yes even brandon and lamarcus!! dont be mad or upset  the truth hurts...I think chris bosch gets lubed before he does after game interviews..the players are given advance notice of  drug test except for rookies who get them randomly  ,,  ..The Players union protested when mr Canzono made the pact with damon..because they didnt want their superstars to have to stand up to that ... they were scared that mj and barkley  would have to figure out a "reason" why they couldnt  do the same...didnt they find over a pound of bud in Rpbert Parrish's trunk...he did not do one day in jail!!!!,,,  ...and oh yes greg has seen a few rolling papers in his time i bet lol  it really dosent matter just leave it all on the floor I guess

that we are really watching some special blazer history in progress..must have felt this way at woodstock..i mean the drexler teams just basiclly came out of the wood work to dominate the league..this time we have front row seats (most of us..thanks comcast) the internet, and a history of horrible teams and characters that we hadnt had before...the rise to the top is a heck of alot more intriguing this time around.....Am I the only one who cringes every time brandon goes hard to the basket..i didnt do it when twardzick did it....We should have a Paul Alleen day in portland..the man is responsible for our heartbeats..... I have just one bad thing to say about mr allen and thats FIRE...he should have kept them..it was a vulcan move I bet.... I know its his money but this is a hot bed for womens basketball..It would be a class act if he brought back wnba and did it right... put a championchip caliber team out there and you have southwest washington and all of oregons female and children population  in the palms of your hands... he loses more than what it would cost to run the team in vegas on a week end..I know its his money but im just saying
Im armchair quarter  backing because i probably wouldnt attend too many games if any... but it would be the classy and right thing to do

coming off that road trip you have to wonder how tired is the youngest team in the league..On one hand you figure that young legs spring eternal..but on the other  it's like ..."dam its a long season and i got tickets to Barbados over the break.. i pray that not one of our blazers  think this way ,,,now is the time to  see how competitive these guys are going to be  the rest of the way...2 game losing streak..were dead tired and get to sleep in our own beds for two weeks...although we play tough competition...we know that if we produce ,,brandon is going to orleans representing the wild wild west...he's going either way but our play dictates.what uniform hell don....its up to us,,,,are we mice or men

I dont have comcast so i couldnt watch the game but i do have direct tv and the nba channel... and amad rashad did us proud today.. with the segment on the blazers..and then a second segment on brandon...all the while he was standing in front a collage of blazer gear..for the entire show!!!!...we are on the map..and the over time win only helped...how lucky are the blazers to be in Atlanta on this day of praise to a great man.. I feel so good to be a blazer fan right now

I dont understand how anyone who cant dribble with their off hand, block out, play weak side defense,,, catch a pass in the triple threat position and so forth make it to the nba...i know its a league of freaks..but these guys really are killing the game..ralph miller is spinning in his grave...i know its exciting to watch but the game is basiclly street ball now a days... thats why its a pleasure for me to watch steve blake and brandon roy..they play true basket ball...fundamentally sound  when i watch a game my eye is not on the ball at all times..a lot of time i miss the thunder dunk because im watching to see if the offense is being ran..i look at joel setting picks and seeing if jarret is keeping his spacing  far enough so that his man cant double team....we are losing the sport in its true form..but its exciting i guess

if brandon roy is not the blazers POINT GUARD of the future..cmon yall you have to see the writing on the wall... the man is at his best and the blazers are at their  best when brandon is at the 1.. i love sergio.as a back up but when it comes down to it..the more he has to learn the more it gives brandon time  to get comfortable in the postiion.. .. it might not happen this year..but sometime in the summer or in fall camp..brandon will be named our point guard..its just logic...and dont tell me he's too slow...damon was too small ..so what..if your'e good youre good..this is a 6'6" point guard and he's ours... sorry serg, jj, unless you want to come off the bench  peace out..this is brandons job.....book it

On some ones post i was critical of nate and his decisions with sergio.. im not at practice every day and seeing what is really happening, although I do believe that sergio will probably ask for a trade or be traded because we have way to many guards here and over seas, plus were probably going to draft a guard..it funny though i wonder why he hasnt been sent to the d league? how can 6 mins a night help him and thats a good night he should be with taurean ..didnt a player play in the d league and the league in the same night last year..so dont say we need the insureance...once again i went off rambling with the help of a little red wine..i do apologize but i get frustrated because you can see the potential is there but potential is nothing if it isnt developed

thinking about greg in the middle in the coming years..if he's anywhere near a beast like dwight howard we are sitting pretty... all the defects that you guys are seeing in sergio and the other guars will vanish..because well have a monster to dump it off to when the shot clock is running down...every player on our team improves the minute greg steps on the floor..aldridge and roy are taking lumps..think how good they are going to be with god in the house..i still kinda feel like this is an 82 game exhibiton season ..i'm not writing off the season but it is what it is....with a year of nba life under his belt before he even gets his first points can do nothing but help him...we are going to be nice in the years to come...you wont hear me say any thing bad about this team..beacuse its all practice..just practice..i mean were talking about practice here..

If youve watched the blazers over the years you have to have noticed that mr allen likes all star caliber point guards..starting with porter,strickland, damon, anderson,..who is the all star of our bunch...sergio

 travis is going to be a black hole..but a good one.. he slows down the offense it seems..because we cant whip the rock around and find the open man when he's on the court.. he needs room to be creative and get to the hole...he'll be alright next year after he works on his jumper, and conditioning,,,but he should be good for some ESPN highlight slash dunks..his last season as a blazer... say hello to the europeans and free agents blazer fans .. travis ,darius,  jones, and at least two points guards will be gone next year

Brandon will never be Brandon until he gets that heel operated on..he's just teasing us..i guarentee it happens this summer

I hear talk about us getting a point gaurd in the lottery!! what?? stop slapping our points in the face and get behind them..they all are good!!! all of em.. put in different systems and they all would florish..the only thing this team needs is time together .. also the blazers are going to either demand that comcast shares its channel with the dish net works to appease all of us or they will keep it in the cable monopoly to create demand for their product(does mr allen own comcast?)...either way im not stressing out until next october..Ill watch what i can this year and get on the goof train next year with what ever company i can IM BACK!!!!

Look at our roster...Greg, Lamarcus, Channing, Brandon, Sergio, Rudy,Koponen   all have been getting national and international attention...KP has created a monster.....wow!! and Freeland is coming alone..will sergio become better when fernandez gets here and is it going to make fernandez's transition easier because sergio is here...just like mcroberts is the pacifier for greg... fernandez and sergio will thrive together at home and on the road (socially) pritchard is a good GM.. I really wish people would stop bad mouthing Paul Allen...you cant question that he wants us here in the rose city to feel good..and his players too...We have at least 6 players that could be playing in future olympic games maybe more with the up coming drafts

Have you watched some of the oldies on nba tv...man the skill level of the players now is like night and day...wilt was supposed to be so powerful.. but shaq would eat him alive.. im not seeing many of the greatest players who would make a roster today...cousy and maravich would have..the big o would have been in idaho lol  i mean they dribbled with there heads down and the shot releases my god dwight howard would average 15 blocks a game if he played 25 years ago... the games i see look like about the high school level today..bill russel would be a power forward kareem wouldnt be backing down too many of these brick walls in the middle...its funny to see these games...i know youre going to disagree ..but play along with me and tell me how many stars in the past couldnt cut the mustard of today

first of all i like to give my condolances to one of my high school coaches..Mr Dick Beachell..he passed away last monday from cancer... he was just inducted into the oregon sports hall of fame... he came across as real laid back and never yelled.. he would say "its not my fault if you dont get up the shots or put in the work in the summer...while youre vacationing the next kid is working... you create your own destiny"  he was a class act..ask damon and a host of others i played for him at jackson and wilson..he was the larry brown of high school basketball

now i was wondering could there be a better place to be than the seats right behind the blazers bench this season... maybe box seats on the first base side at yankee stadium..(i dont know how they do that but it would be kool).. or maybe  behind  the bluedevils or tarheels benches... man id love to hear how coach k does his thing .. nice... I guess seats on the 50 yard line for sea hawks game would be ok ..my neighbor says the infield at taladegha would be heaven ???? uhh i cant get nascar... tell me where in the world could be better than to have seats right behind the blazers bench...thats the epitome of the phrase "heaven on earth"

We all agree that mr pritchard is the best thing since sliced bread...but reality says that the other shoe has to drop one day..  its almost impossible to be a good parent and be  your best friend at the same time...so which of the potential all stars do you think would bolt for the brighter lights in the future...between advertising and endorsements..portland players lose a lot of money playing in the great north west...also how many players are drafted by the blazers and retire with us...im just asking..I think its lamarcus or god forbid greg in 4 to 5 years  

I know im new to this forum and I dont want to saturate you with my thoughts I just wanted to say this one thing and i'll back up for a while.. the sergio debate made me start to think about what I say about people..this young man is very talented and will one day be a good player in the league..hopefully great..I have been guilty of bashing john canzono and a host of other people and players without thinking about their feelings and points of views
although you may argue that professionals give up the right to privacy and feelings when they sign the  multi figure contracts..like gregs cheese burgers and darius's doughnuts, I had a change of heart when I was being the average typical male and came accross a site that had nba wives featured..It hit me that these people have families and they are doing the best they can (I would hope) to represent their prospective organizations..I make shawn Kemp jokes but what about the off spring..who am I to talk about their father ..the real loser in the OJ saga were those two children.. ..I wonder how it would feel to know that everyone in portland wants my son or husband or dad to fail.. im sure the millions soothe the pain some what..but IT would hurt me if I knew that my son had to feel that so im not going to do it any more... I'll find away to get my point accross but im not going to go the route I was going

Is sergio really our future..the man had six points and 1 assist yesterday, he cant run the spanish team  and were thinking about giving him the keys to our bentley?

james jones, darius miles, travis outlaw, martell webster,, some one has to go,,especially since brandon and frye can play the position in a crunch, and no...it wont be darius..(see salary cap)

do we wait until the trade deadline just in case of injuries..what if we would have got rid of the big cat early on..not that it really mattered

joel seems happy with that mentor role..he knows he'll get plenty of time due to fouls and it may prolong his season... cant get injured on the bench...plus he gets to run against the second unit..we might love joel this year

our bench is going to be key..they could do some real damage...not just maintain while the starters catch a breath... possibly the best bench in the league??  joel, frye,  jones, webster, jack....nice

This morning I was at T.J. Max (yeah some of us shop there) I ran across a couple of old school blazer jersey's that were in my sons size..one was rueben patterson's  why in the hell did we draft boumje boumje..  and the other was rod strickland...now with me being a blazer fan I said hell yeah and pulled out the plastic...it didn't dawn on me until i was half way home.... what are people going to think... now a days you have to be as clean as  as an alaskan snow fall to be accepted ..

I went and kicked it at the three on three today (dam i wish you people werent so anal rententive on grammer) and it brought back huge memories.. you see  the first time i saw the rose quarter it was a huge whole in the ground.. i was a aprintice carpenter and i worked for a company called isec that did earthquake proofing of arena  and stadiums. around the country.. because of the union .I was able to work for 4 different companies on the project and the last thing i did before i left the premises 2 years later was crazy glue gerome kersey's name plate on his locker.. ive been places in that joint that the average fan will never see..  my name is on a plac along with about 200 other names out side the ticket office.. I always rub it and remember that this is the house that clyde built..now with that said.... this is Portland..why wouldn't you buy a luxury suite.. its yours for all games all events..all venues its yours.... now on the flip side...why would you get one in L A... how does that work... If i'm a clipper and the Lakers are playing ..who gets the box..what if beyonce or prince comes to town or the globetrotters...what about the playoffs.. and the lakes and clips meet in round two... who's box is it ... ..those suites are sweet..t.v in the bathroom couch bar and patio that seats twelve    ,,, ive sat on the toilet in every suite...true talk... ..what a lot of people don't realize is that the garden is a hockey venue first..hoop second..why i don't know but its a hockey arena... that floor is always sitting on a sheet of ice.. mr allen has an "apartment" up in the bowels of the arena that basiclly runs half the length of the buildindg... there are 4 dressing rooms...the blazers have their own there is a nba /nhl visitor room and two  others for the peons who may creep in (college and high school)
 the blazers locker room (from memeory and what little clips I see on T.V..hasn't changed..there creme with a lil red and black about 60"wide with a safe on top..why i dont know.....theres an armed guard that stand there for games and who in the hell is going to sneak under all that survelliance..if the co founder of micro soft gets had there is no hope for society yall.. and i hope travis is not trying to steal laundry money from brandon..   ..when i saw travis today as I was looking at my name on the wall all i could think was he looks human   he acts human.. but he was in the right place at,, the right time , he's a lucky man  and he's too naive to see it
