I was born and raised in Erie, 120 miles north of the Pittsburgh. Born in '54, I became a Steelers fan circa 1970 after childhood dalliances with the Packers and Jets. I went to Pitt in the late '70s -- lived in the Burgh for only one Super Bowl, SB XIII -- the Stillers defeated the Cowboys 35-31.
I now live in Harrisburg, which surprisingly has scores of Steeler fans, despite being three hours east of Heinz Field. My wife is a rehabbed Steelers fan, being a Niners fan until the late nineties. We go to training camp every August. Nearing my golden years, I collect Steelers' memorabilia and memories. My favorite Steeler are many: Jack, Franco, Rocky, Troy, Hines, Hokie, Deebo (yes, still) and Charlie Batch. Now I got the jones for Jarvis. Every game day is an event for us. We hate all things Raven and the Patriots suck. GO STEELERS!
