Best Pregame Orlando Sports Bar
I just bought my tickets for opening night against the Rockets. This will be my first game in the new arena and I'm trying to have the complete experience as I only get to go to one home game a year if I'm lucky. So to the natives, where is the best sports bar that's within walking distance of the arena to enjoy happy hour before the game? I'm looking for some good spirited tom foolery to get me psyched for the game, any suggestions?
If Dwight Howard wants a trade, the Orlando Magic could call his bluff
Josh Robbins with a great point. Why allow Dwight to get millions of dollars more by trading him now? New Jersey's offer will still be there in February, and its not like its the greatest offer in the world anyway.
Four Team Trade
I don't even know if I'd pull the trigger, just horsing around. Let me know what you think.
Rockets Doctor Confirms Foot Injury Could End Yao Ming's Career
I know this isn't Magic news, but this would be very bad for the NBA as a whole. Financially, this has to be the worst time to lose your most marketable international athlete.
A Fanatical Rant
Here is this week's showcased fanpost. 3QC member magicfanatic takes the time to rant about what a Game 7 win for the Orlando Magic over the Boston Celtics would mean to him, personally. How does the community feel about tomorrow's game? - ER
There was too much going though my mind last night to discuss the game last night, so I figured I'd make a fanpost and just rant, here goes...
Before last night I had given up all hope on the Magic. How could I have hope? The team had blown two games that were in the bag. Two games where the squad choked under adversity, there was only one possible outcome left. A game six win was just delaying the inevitable.
This sentiment could be thought of as giving up on my team, which is a valid point. But long time Magic fans have never been given a reason to hope, ever. That's not an exaggeration, this team has never triumphed over major adversity. Think about it, the '95 NBA Finals; the '96 East Finals; the '97 First Round Series against the Heat; the '03 series against Detroit. The biggest obstacle they have ever overcome was the seven game series against Reggie Miller, Rik Smits, and Derrick McKey. That series should have never gone seven games to begin with. This team has trained me into expecting a gigantic failure. This is not the franchise that makes history.
