how much sense would this make for both sides?

It seems Detroit is seeking out a Center and is willing to trade Rip or maybe Prince, and the Magic could use a SG or SF and are trying to find creative ways to bring one in with the possible sign and trade of Gortat and the trade exception happening the last few days. So how about Gortat for Prince or Rip? It would seem to me that both teams would benefit a lot here. It could be a win-win for both sides, and both sides seem to be actively trying to fix these holes.

So if this Gortat thing plays out a little  longer, I know some people have speculated that Houston may move in to get something done but I could see Detroit emerging in the coming days as their options get slimmer. I'm not sure who I would want more between Prince or Hamilton. I think Hamilton will be much more like the player he was 2 years ago, than who he was last year. But Prince might be a better fit. I think both guys would be very good fits, but Prince maybe a little moreso considering our needs.

So what do you think? Could Detroit show serious interest if this thing moves forward a little longer and Otis does match Gortats offer? Would this be something we should be interested in?
