"Steve (boston)
who do you like better between Robbie Grossman and starling marte?

Klaw (2:03 PM)
Grossman. That's not really close."

I assume this is a slam on Marte, more than a great endorsement of Grossman...although he did give Grossman the compliment of saying his ceiling was "above-avg ML starter" earlier in the chat.

As if we need anything more to make us smile right now, this little nugget was found today at the four-letter website.

Bucs Dugout Hideki Okajima non-tenedered

According to mlbtraderumors, Hideki Okajima was non-tendered today by the Red Sox.  Could we be looking at the 2011 version of Javy Lopez?  He obviously struggled this past year, but his peripheral numbers with the Red Sox (K/9, BB/9, etc.) are better than what Lopez put up even during his good Boston years.  I admit to not knowing about potential injury issues, but this seems like a path that should be contemplated.

Bucs Dugout Tony Sanchez continues to destroy low-A

After hitting his first homer last night, our much-maligned first round pick is now hitting 433/541/700 at W. Virginia.  Naturally, it's only through a week's worth of games, but the common logic is that low-A is too low to start a high draft pick coming out of college.  So what should the Pirates do with Sanchez?  Let him continue to maul low-A pitching for the rest of the year and then start him at Lynchburg next year?  Move him up sometime before the end of this year?  Does he start next yeat at Altoona (I think so)?

How ironic would it be if Sanchez beats Alvarez to the majors?  I'm certainly not rooting for that to happen, but it doesn't seem impossible sitting here today.
