A retired soldier from Pittsburgh, I went back to the Army after September 11th as a civilian. I currently work at the Pentagon, where my Terrible Towel hangs proudly. My Pittsburgh claim to fame is that I went to high school with Coach Cowher and played special teams in one game against Fort Cherry. According to my dad, Marvin Lewis was on the field that night so I played with two NFL coaches. I even made a tackle. Oh, glory days.
I refuse to go back to rooting for the Bucs until they produce a .500 season.
The story behind the blog is that I use it to raise money for Mario Lemieux charities in the NHL's Beard-A-Thon. When I win all the cool prizes, I will auction them off and add the proceeds to the total donation. Makes you want to jump right in and pledge, doesn't it?
