Because the "Red Solo Cup" is the dumbest song ever written, and I can't seem to stop humming it. Because I like doing parodies even though the "Because it's the Cup" commercials pale in comparison to "History will be Made" commercials. Because I thought merging "Red Solo Cup" and "Because it's the Cup" made sense. Because my team crapped in the regular season, but managed to haul ass the last 4 games to make the playoffs...then crapped there too. Because I'm rooting for the Predators. GO PREDATORS!

The last 13 games of the season is here. I believe that Sharks can still win the division, they just need to play to their potential and stop doubting themselves and each other. So here's a video I made to get them going in the last thirteen.

For those who missed it, here is the highlight of the botched OT goal v. CAL on Tues 1/17. The ref who called it was the one who was 90 feet away, not the one closest to the play. I don't understand how the ref could be so sure that he saw the "interference" since he was so far away from the action.

6 years ago today Joe Thornton was traded from the Boston Bruins to the Sharks, and the Sharks were immediately a better team. My newest parody celebrates Joe, his 1000th game and his 700 Assist. "Amanda" is an EPIC 80's love song, and Joe Thornton is an EPIC player. In a pre-game interview with Jumbo Drew said "As Joe Thornton goes, the San Jose Sharks go". The game vs. the Kings, was pretty bad. I hope this video gets Joe Thornton and the Sharks pumped up for the Canadiens. GO SHARKS!!!

I recently went to sign an "It Gets Better" petition on Change.org .  I was very disappointed to see the small amount of signatures on our petition.  Actually, the few "active" IGB petitions all have anemic responses (there are 8 petitions in all).  I would love to see the Sharks be the first team in the NHL to do an "It Gets Better" video.   If you agree with me, sign the petition and then e-mail the link to the video & petition to your friends who might be interested.

I just got through reading the stupidest hockey article I've ever read.  It was in GQ by Jonah Keri called "Boston Bruins vs. the World"  basically he claimed that no other US hockey fans are cheering for the Bruins.  It's total BS and I just wanted to let Bruins fans know that many Sharks fans at "Fear the Fin" are rooting for the Bruins to win.  We hate the Canucks! I just hope that before the series ends someone levels Raffi Torres.  That guy has been a pain the ass for the Sharks for years.  GO BRUINS!!! Bring the Cup back to Boston!!!

Anyway, I normally do Shark fan videos on youtube, but Tim Thomas has been a monster in these finals and I am now a HUGE fan.  He certainly deserves the Vezina and the Stanley Cup.  Here's a "History Will Be Made" parody that I did for him and I call it "Timmy's Butt":

For those of you Shark fans who have been watching the Stanley Cup Finals, I have created a new 'History Will Be Made" parody for Tim Thomas.  It's called "Timmy's Butt".  I have been rooting for the Bruins in this series, partially because I loathe the style of play that the Canucks use.  All that flopping and diving and WHINING!  Anyway, i didn't know much about Tim Thomas but he's a heck of a goaltender, and this series makes me believe that he deserves the Vezina!

It is an absolute IMPERATIVE that the Sharks win game 3 tonight.  As all Sharks fans know, game 2 didn't go as planned.  Ben Eager was a bit too eager to be aggressive and it hurt the Sharks.  In fact, there are a lot of fans that threw Eager under the bus, don't want to see him in teal, etc, etc...I personally like him and though he didn't make the best decisions, I think he can be an asset to the team IF HE CONTROLS HIS EMOTIONS.  Anyway, here's my video called "The Theory of Competition" and it's a summary of the last two games, the soundtrack is from a Versus commercial from two seasons ago. The song starts at 1:30 into video.  

I'll be at the game tonight and I intend to be very loud, I hope any Sharks fans who watch this and will be there tonight, BRING IT, CHEER THE SHARKS LOUDLY!!!!

I wish I had gone to game 7.  I choose not to because I went to games 2 and 5 of the LA series and game 5 of the Detroit series, so obviously my @ game mojo was bad.  Hopefully my mojo changes with the SJ v. VAN series because I have tickets for game 3 this coming Friday.  The news stories make it look like absolute bedlam after the game.

Damn that TicketBastard and their "Dynamic Ticket Pricing"!  I just tried to buy tickets for game 5 and seats in the upper tier (220-225) are $129 ($142 w/ fees)!  Once again the prices are over double what the actual ticket price is.  I know because I am a 10 pack holder and was at Friday's game and the actual ticket price was $68!  I don't understand how Shark fans can afford to cheer the Sharks in person.

I wish I could claim this one, but it's not mine, this very nicely done parody of the "History Will Be Made" commercial was done by Sharkdude09.  Don' get me wrong, the Setoguchi "History Will Be Made" commercial is really good, but I expected more would be made of the Sharks winning game 3, with the exact same score, the exact same way, one year later.  Let's hope this years series ends one game earlier than it did last year.

I didn't plan on making a video until early this morning.  After last night's Canucks v. Blackhawks game I realized that this is a MUST WIN for the Sharks.  They CANNOT allow a game 7 to happen.  I had no idea of what type of video to do, I just knew that it must make a statement.  I want the video to jar the Sharks out of whatever psychological block they have of closing out a series. 

I found a Versus commercial that had a terrific speech called "You vs. Them".  I have used highlights of the SJ v. LA series that I hope motivates fans and the Sharks.  I realize that it's kind of late since the game is in a few hours, but whomever sees this, I hope it fires you up.  If you know of other Sharks, especially Shark fans going to tonight's game, please send them the link and get them fired up.  Twitter it to people and any Sharks that have Twitter accounts.  Anyway, it's a MUST WIN situation tonight so GO SHARKS!!!! After Joe Thornton scored the game winning goal in the Stanley Cup Quarterfinal game 4 SJ v. LA, the cameras caught Joe blowing kisses to someone. The national media including TSN, NHL Network and Versus said they were for random Shark fans. Actually they weren't. The post game show with Scott Riess and Bret Hedican revealed the true recipient of Joe's very special goal celebration. GO SHARKS !!!

I just tried to buy game 5 tickets on TicketMaster and they seemed really EXPENSIVE!  The tickets that came up were for sec. 221, row 11, seats 6 & 7.  The price was $104.00 ($116.75 w/ service charge) per ticket!  I'm a 10 pack holder and had tickets for game 2 and my seats were in 221, row 10 and my ticket price was $52.00. This is the 1st round, why are the seats so expensive?  Round 1 game 5 tickets just seems so much more expensive than last year.

With gas at $4.15 p/gal and groceries $100 p/week I don't know how the average Shark fan can afford them.

Hi fellow FTF'ers, it's your video cheerleader!  I did this video for last year's playoffs, and with all the negativity that has been so pervasive on the FTF boards I think it is necessary to get people pumped up for game 3.  SERIOUSLY, IT'S JUST ONE GAME!  I have faith that the Sharks will pick up their game on Tuesday.  C'mon Sharks for game 3, PLAY TO WIN!!!!!  (sorry the video is a little blurry).

Did anyone spot the "Hockey Luvin Homos" guys on Thursday during the Canucks v. Kings game on 3/31?  Apparently they created quite a stir and the incident was written up in Yahoo! Puck Daddy:

Anyway I created a 2011 History Will Be Made parody on this incident because I was so angry at some of the hateful comments that were posted.  It still amazes me that people are still so backwards about their feelings about being gay.  It's called "Pride".

Here is my Sharks based History Will Be Made 2011 parody.  I made this for Logan Couture since it's his 22nd birthday today.  What an incredible young man, just scored his 29th & 30th goals, hopefully he will get a few more in the next 6 games and takes the goal and points lead from Grabner and Skinner.  Anyway, as Drew rhetorically asks "Where would the Sharks be without Logan Couture this year?".

On Wednesday (day after the game v. Stars) I saw the Steve Ott interview on NHL LIve.  The interview was irritating because it kept showing the hits by Murray and Heatley and also, Ott down on the ice pretending that he had been elbowed in the head.  I couldn't believe that the three anchors of the show seem to believe him, with Deb Placey closing the interview with "I hope you feel better".  Did she really believe his snow job?  Anyway, here's my newest video which includes the full post game interview with Ott and excerpts of the NHL Live interview with video of what should have been shown while Ott was talking.  I added a little background music for dramatic effect.  And oh yeah, pay attention to the end of the video for an unexpected surprise.

Much has been said in the past four games about the number "Three". Is Numerology now responsible for the Sharks current winning streak? Setoguchi gets a hat trick, Thornton gets his 300th goal, Heatley scores a goal after it was deflected three times. Last night the game winning OT goal vs. Pittsburgh was the 3rd goal. Ohhh....coincidence, or is the number three (and sometimes four) our lucky number?
