News out that Sullinger will pull out of 11 draft to forgo his Sophomore year and give it one more go with Ohio. Do you see this as a chance for the Cs(8th pick) to make a go for him or would you be even interested in this very talented young kid.
I would love the Cs to go after him and the 2012 draft could be the perfect chance for us to persue him. We need somebody of his ability under the post. Rondo and Sullinger could be a great paring for years to come!!!

Okay im sure this post wont really excite my people but im going to talk about it anyway because i would love for this to happen.

We all know that us Celtic Fans are the best NBA fans in the world right?..well thats prove it by having an awesome song/pump up chant before games..and i dont mean some silly wee song most arenas play pre-game. If your into soccer in particular over where im from (U.K)..you would hear it often.Its called Youll Never Walk Alone . Brilliant song that would suit the Celtics well as its from Ireland,played at Celtic games in Scotland and the Boston Celtics are all about playing as a team and being soo together.

I just think it would be perfect. Also the tradition is when the song is being played, all the fans hold up a scarf above their heads until the songs over which is an unreal sight..

I just think the garden would be rocking  when thats played with the atmosphere we have, the opponents will be scared as hell lol.....

What do you think of this lad!?!I think he can play and would be a good addition on our team!.He avg 13.0ppg in 20mpg and then left to go play D -League Basketball with the red claws contributing well!

With Doc Rivers deciding to return to the Celtics next season, and Boston close to re-signing Paul Pierce to a four-year deal, a source said Saturday night that there is a "possibility" that veteran forward Rasheed Wallace could re-think his decision last month to retire after 15 NBA seasons. The Celtics believed Wallace would retire after the team's seven-game Finals loss to the Lakers, and he appeared to make the decision final a week or so later.

Because Wallace had two years and $13 million (including $6.32 million next season) remaining on his deal when he retired, the Celtics have been looking into moving his contract to another team, which would then get the savings from Wallace's cap number, in exchange for assets. But obviously, if Wallace decides to play next season, that team wouldn't get the money off of its cap.

Rivers decided to return for the last year of his contract last week, after his family members encouraged him to come back and give it one more try with his veteran team next year. That was followed by Pierce quickly getting close to a four-year contract worth more than $60 million with Boston

Ok,now that the season is over,do you expect big changes to happen this year to start rebuilding a young athletic team around Rondo. The first step we are obvs going to take is the Draft.We need a good draft pick because we have wasted alot of good talent from drafts over the last 5 years or more.

What would u think about the Dolphins taking Owens on a short term contract.Ano he is getting old and he is not the same as he used to be but he can still play and can get u a TD or two everygame uder a good QB which we have got.

Him and Marshall along with Bess and Hartline can make us one of the most feared WR corp in the NFL!!He still got 5 TDs for a very bad Buffalo team and i think two of them came against us!!

Ok,i know we haven't made it to the finals and that theres still a long way to go and alot of work still to do but IF we made it to the finals to play likely the lakers(thats saying they get there ),would you be worried about how well they are putting teams away and putting big scores up against the Suns.If u have been watching them in the play-offs,they have alot of players that they can rely on.Artest whos starting to put up big numbers,Gasol is 2nd highest scorer on team and very dangerous and kobe who we all know and hate.

 

Ano im thinking to far ahead but if it does happen,i wont be to excited that about playing them,id rather the Suns.Yes,when were good, we can beat anyone but its just something about that lakers team that worries me.Destroying a really good Utah team and about to do the same to Suns isn't easy to do.

Sad news guys,18 year old Texas A&M recruit Tobi Oyedeji has passed away :(

Tobi Oyedeji dropped his last friend off after prom night, called his father Mike and told him he was on his way home early Sunday morning.

The 18-year-old power forward from Bellaire High in Bellaire, Texas, who at 6-foot-9 and 220 pounds was destined to be an impact player for Texas A&M in the fall and committed to studying engineering -- never made it to his house.

Oyedeji was involved in a head-on collision shortly after the phone call home and died after attempts at life-saving surgery weren't successful Sunday afternoon, according to Texas A&M coach Mark Turgeon.

"He was an only child," a distraught Turgeon said of Oyedeji, whose parents, Mike and Nikki, are said to be in immense emotional pain. "This is really tough on them. I'm just hurting so much for his mom and dad right now."

Turgeon was in California early Sunday morning when he received the first phone call that Oyedeji had been in an accident and was in intensive care heading into surgery. Turgeon said a few hours later, as he was boarding his flight back to Houston, he was told that Oyedeji died.

"I loved that kid," Turgeon said. "I loved that kid. This is really, really hard."

According to the police report, details of which were posted on the Houston Press' website, Oyedeji left his lane, crossed over a grassy media and into oncoming traffic. The Toyota he was driving struck a Jeep Patriot head-on, and then a Honda Civic.

The driver of the Jeep, a 50-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Honda was treated at the scene.

Hal Pastner, who runs Houston Hoops, an AAU program Oyedeji played for, was crushed as well when he was told the news on Sunday afternoon

The world has lost a great kid today," Turgeon said. "Tobi epitomized the term student-athlete. He was a very good student. He worked hard in the classrooms and on the basketball court and he was a terrific basketball player. This is difficult to understand and today is a very sad day. My heart aches for his mom and dad. Tobi was an only child and I would like everyone to pray for Tobi's parents."

As we are sitting in a nice position in round 2,what do youse think about drafting a QB(Clausen,McCoy),persuming they are still there.I wouldnt mind this at all as it would give us Henne,Colt or Jimmy,and a veteran in Pennington.I would trade thigpen to whoever and move Pat White out to WR.I know henne is brilliant and all but it would give him competition and we both know how talented the rookies would be.We could have 3 brillaint QBs on our team.

What do you think of their final mock draft.They have us taking LB Kindle.On alot of websites,people have us taking him.Would you be happy with this pick and do you think he would be a good fit for us ability wise.To me,i wouldnt like it,id rather get someone like Earl Thomas or Derrick Morgan but what do youse think.This could be the most likely pick for us!! Maybe thats why they are waiting for the Taylor situation.

So,what do yous think,Is Rondo worthy of even being mentioned.Me,personally,i think he should be up there in the top 3 along with Lebron and Durant. The lad has been breaking records, putting up big numbers all over the place from ppg to steals.He has been the life of the Celtics this year and without him,we would not be in the position we are now.

Ok Dolphin lovers!!The draft is only days away and were all talking about who should we get!!!Well the list below is the players that would fit into the Dolphins and have the best chance of getting drafted by us!!I threw tate in there because i love the man.

 

DT-Jason Pierre-Paul-Soth Florida(JR)

This man is just a beast and hes from around the area.A perfect fit, at 6' 6" 257, he is a supreme pass rusher and has the ability to drop back into coverage.

 

 

DE-Derrick Morgan-Georgia Tech(JR)

Unique combination of size, speed, strength and athleticism. His motor never stops. Is always in the backfield disrupting plays. Good against pass and run. Needs to improve lateral quickness and he struggles to drop into coverage. Ran a 4.72 at the combine.The good thing about this lad,hes only 20.

 

 

OLB-Sergio Kindle-Texas

Versatile athlete who can play in a 3-4 or 4-3. Excellent size and good speed. Plays with a high motor and is a relentless pass rusher. Injury prone and will play out of position at times. Ran a 4.71 at the combine with 25 reps on the bench (225 lbs).

 

 

S-Earl Thomas-Texas-(SM)

Ballhawk with excellent awareness on the field. Good cover skills. Covers like a cornerback and tackles like a safety. Fluid hips with good footwork. Does not have ideal size for an NFL safety. Ran a 4.44 at the combine with 21 reps on the bench (225 lbs).I would love him personally.

 

DT-Dan Williams-Tennessee(S)

Tremendous run stopper who eats up space with his size. Very powerful - can bench press 500lbs. Chases well sideline to sideline but his hustle and work ethic are sometimes questioned. Disruptive despite double teams but not a great pass rusher. 3-4 nose tackle. Needs more explosion despite strength. Ran a 5.17 at the combine with 27 reps on the bench (225 lbs).

DT-Terrence Cody-Alabama 

Great in run defense. Normally double-teamed, creates a great push to limit running to the inside, great in short yardage situations, explosive power to knock offensive lineman back, tremendous strength. Lacks agility, needs to improve pass rush, sometimes stops moving his feet, not an every down player.

 

WR-Dez Bryant-Oklahoma State

Impressive jumping ability, catches ball at the apex, great hands, tough to tackle, explosive on special teams, gets off the line of scrimmage quickly. Needs to improve route running, tendency to round off routes, not a deep threat in the NFL. Lacks ideal speed.I think this mans picture diserves to be big no matter what anyone says about him.

 

WR-Golden Tate-Notre Dame

Done brilliant at combine,maybe thats why i threw him in there.Excellent straight up speed and quickness - 4.42 40 time. Quick off the line and uses strong hands to get off press coverage. Hard worker, leader and great character. Good blocker. Is elusive and has nice body control - can catch the ball away from his body. Not physical and needs improvement with his route running.

Hes number 23 just in case(wasnt an interception)

 

This is none Celtics related (kinda)Just me trying to get out to you that sometimes the draft is pointless.

Why is it that over the last few years in the Draft,there has been alot of major busts,espiaclly in the top 5.There doesnt seem to be alot of talent that comes out of college nowadays.The 2006 draft for example was terrible for brilliant players notabley the only ones being bargarni,B.Roy,Rondo and Foye.The busts being our own Williams who was selected at 5!! P.OBryant who was selected at 9 and this man Adam Morrison who was drafted #3 and avgs 1.3 points per game for Lakers!.This is what its been like for the last couple of years in the draft !!!Whats going on here.It seems as if theres no point in drafting players after 5 because they are never any good.Theres no point in even picking last,because theres NEVER any talent anyway. The only All star in that draft was Rondo who was selected in the middle.WHY IS THIS.The best year for the draft was by far the 2003 draft which was a long time ago.Theres been nothing really like that since apart from a few here and there.Its soo annoying for me,and im sure it is for the teams that have that really good pick to find someone half decent but can never do so!!

I hate some of our so called fans!!why cant we just be grateful that we are in the play-offs for the 3rd straight year and stop worrying.Yes,the whole season has been bad for us,and yes were getting really old.But thats are fault.We are the ones that traded our 5th pick(green) for Allen and KG.Use were bound to think at some stage that the big 3 couldnt last for ever.Now,after this season,i think personally,the Celts are going to hace to start at square 1 again.Start rebuilding this team up fresh legs because Ray Allen is pretty much gone during off season, along with other vets like Sheed,Scala,Finley maybe even KG.Also Pierce isnt getting any younger so this is the Off season were big changes need to be made.We cant go another season relying on 34-35 year old players.Its just not right night in night out.

And im sure when the clear out  happens, all these so called Celtic followers will be away after joining us proper fans for only 3 years,when the news broke out during the summer of 2007.

It really annoys me,the people that come on here,and give off,talking about getting rid of all these guys.There are 20 other teams out there that would die to have the talent and to be in the position we are in so just respect and enjoy the games we do win because at the start of next season,we could be a whole new ball club.4 years ago,we would have been over the moon if we got 2 wins in a row never mind a streak so just enjoy it while you can because we all knew that there were going to be consequences of trading for KG and Allen and not going for 1 of the top to picks in the 2007 draft(Oden and Durant) which would have already started our building process for the future.

BUT HEY,WE GOT A RING(AND 3 PLAY-OFFS IN 3 YEARS)NOT BAD.

Do you really think that we need to draft a WR(Bryant,Tate) when we have basically a big athletic WR who hasnt shown how good he might be on the field.I honestly think this man can be brilliant,he has the size and the strength and hes still only 22 years old,and comon,he cant be half as bad as Ginn is,so i do think that we have talent at the WR spot.If we were ever gona get a WR,i think he should be a veteran who knows what hes doing.Also, why are all of our WRs small?

This is really starting to annoy me on how good Bill Walker is playing for his new team!!!Once again last night he showed how good he can be if he got minutes scoring 21 leading the Knicks against the Grizzles.Do we have any chance of getting him back are is he gone for good.I hope not because hes the answer that we have been looking for. Someone very young  and athletic and we had him and blew it AGAIN.!!

When he was drafted, he pretty much was the Celtics until the big 3 were formed so i disagree completely with Charles(he doest have a clue) and agree with E.Smith that Pierce wouldnt have been any different from the 80s players(not including Bird,Parish,McHale).So Paul Pierce should be apart of that great list of legends.

Ray Allen has heard his name included in potential trades for Rip Hamilton, Monta Ellis, Kevin Martin, Andre Iguodala and Jason Richardson. He knows he has no control over whether the Boston Celtics send him to another team. He also knows he doesn’t want to go.

As Thursday’s 3 p.m. ET trade deadline approaches, Allen has one hope: He’d like to be starting for the Celtics when they face the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

According to multiple team sources, Allen will likely get his wish. While the Celtics have spent the past few weeks exploring their trade options with Allen, they don’t expect to move the veteran shooting guard. The team is close to acquiring Nate Robinson from the New York Knicks, probably in exchange for Eddie House and J.R. Giddens. But Celtics president Danny Ainge called the potential for an Allen trade “highly unlikely.”

It's simple. The Celtics never got an offer that blew them away. We've seen Ray struggle before and there's a pretty good chance he's going to snap out of this funk. I hope.

i would like to wish Eddie House all the best and what a good decent job he has done for us especially the championship season.He was a big part of that 08 team then when Cassell couldn't step up and draining them 3s of the bench when no one else could do it.

Hey guys,weve had a really bad draft history in the past, are best probely being Pierce!!Do yous not feel its near time to find that stand out player (could have been Durant) for the future who could lead us like paul did single handedly for the past 12 years because how much Pierce is a legend here,he wont be around for long and neither will the other big 2!! might not even be together by the end of the week. Then what are we going to do.No leaders except for Rondo really.I think its time to start rebuilding for the future.

Being Irish and a Life-long Celtics Fan, im curious to know why the Celtics are associated to the Irish way with the shamrock ,the green,the leprechaun and some Irish music during the games(!if you know what im on about)!.i dont no were i got this from but i think its kinda cool. If anyone mentioned the Cs to me i just think of ireland r something about it for some reason.Does anyone know how that kinda happened and why its still even stronger today.

Being Irish and living in Ireland growing up supporting the Dolphins is really difficult.!i would get to see the Dolphins play like once every 2 months on TV over hear because all the good teams are playing!!I just wanted to get that across first lol!! and its not fair.I would also love to see a NFL game over here in Croke Park, which is one of the biggest football stadiums in not only Ireland but the world, i dont know if use have heard of it but its just as good as Wembley in London. It has one of the best surfaces in the world depict all of the sports that is played on it and holds up to 82,000 fans.Everyone knows how good it is in the UK, but i think Ireland would be even better.As use might know, the Steelers and Bears played over here in 1997 and it was no problem, i would just love to see it come back here,and even better if it was the dolphins lol

I even heard that a college game is being played over in Croke Park, Ireland!!Notre Dame vs Navy in the close future.
