According to Adam Schefter on ESPN just now (EDIT: and on his twitter http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter/status/12461751823 ), the eagles have acquired Lions LB Ernie Sims in a 3 way trade with the Broncos and the Lions. The Lions get Broncos TE Tony Scheffler, the Birds get Sims and the Broncos get an undisclosed draft pick. Sims was the 9th overall pick out of Florida State in 2006 and is still only 25. Hes a good young 4-3 OLB who is going to be a solid starter next year. 

EDIT 2: Schefter just tweeted: Philly sends 5th rounder to Denver, which sends Scheffler and 7th to Detriot, which sends Ernie Sims to Eagles.

We gave up a 5th for a young, starting LB? I count this as an excellent pickup!

Whos going to be at the game tomorrow? I know I'll be there, maybe we can get something together before the game to honor bdawk. Hopefully the weather isn't too bad and it stops raining and warms up.
