1. St Louis
Rams - Sam Bradford QB, I think Clausen is the better QB but this is pretty much a done deal. They need to get someone that can run the offense.
2.
Detroit Lions - Russell Okung OT, they desperately need to protect Stafford. They need to keep Megatron happy as well and getting him help is super important. They traded for some DT's earlier this offseason as well.
3.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Ndamukong Suh DT, he will fortify their run defense and give them some much needed pressure from the inside of the DLine on pass plays.
4.
Washington Redskins - Trent Williams OT, there are some rumors that they will take Williams even if Okung is available because he is a better fit for the zone blocking scheme that Mike Shanahan uses, but in this scenario he doesn't even have to choose.
5.
Kansas City Chiefs - Eric Berry S, I don't understand why they would take a left tackle when Brandon Albert played very well in the later parts of last year. On the other hand their safeties were as bad as ours last year.
6.
Seattle Seahawks - CJ Spiller RB, I think this is a bit of a blunder because Spiller is not a starting running back but the hawks are desperate to get that offense going.
7.
Cleveland Browns - Joe Haden CB, yes they traded for
Sheldon Brown, but Sheldon Brown is 31. They need to combat the passing offenses of the AFC and the best way to do that is to get as many shut down corners as they can.
8.
Oakland Raiders - Gerald McCoy DT, it's not an Al Davis pick per se, but he is still pretty fast and they fill a need.
9.
Buffalo Bills - Jimmy Clausen QB, this will be the steal of the draft and your 2011 offenseive rookie of the year. even though their OLine is still very shaky you can make them look better than they are with a QB that gets rid of the ball quickly and has good pocket presence.
10.
Jacksonville Jaguars - Derrick Morgan DE, the Jags need to sell tickets but Tebow is really the only player that can help with that. Getting to the QB and maybe winning more games is another way they could try to attract fans.
11.
Denver Broncos - Maurkice Pouncey C/G, McDaniels will take his guy no matter how huge of a reach it is and a center / guard is their biggest need. He traded a 1st last year for a nickle back so this isn't as far fetched as many people will think. Their OLine couldn't open any holes for that shiny new RB they got last year.
12.
Miami Dolphins - Dan Williams NT, they don't have a starting NT on the roster at the moment. They need pass rush too but Kindle is too much of a reach and Graham is too much of a unknown with the 4-3.
13.
San Francisco 49ers - Bryan Bulaga OT, the 9ers need to improve the right side of their OLine and Bulaga's short hands wouldn't be exposed as much.
14. Seattle Seahawks -
Anthony Davis OT, Pete is pissed that they missed on Bulaga by just 1 pick but I think it's actually a blessing because Davis is a much better fit at LT.
15. NY
Giants - Rolando McClain MLB, We get our guy. The perfect pick after this underwhelming season.
16.
Tennessee Titans - Jason-Pierre Paul DE, the Titans try to get the next Freak. Their DLine couldn't get much pressure last year so it's a good fit.
17. San Francisco 49ers - Brandon Graham DE / OLB, The 49ers are trying to build an elite defense but without a pass rush that is just impossible.
18.
Pittsburgh Steelers - Earl Thomas S,
Ryan Clark is just not that good and the prospect of Thomas and Polamalu together is scary for QB's. Without Roethlisberger for 6 games they will need to play top notch defense if they are to make the playoffs.
19.
Atlanta Falcons - Everson Griffen DE, this is arguable a bit of a reach but they need a guy that can get to the QB.
20.
Houston Texans - Kyle Wilson CB, they lost their #1 corner this offseason, yet
Peyton Manning is still in the division.
21.
Cincinnati Bengals - Dez Bryant WR, he dropped but the Bengals get a very good receiver. Palmer needs more weapons to combat the secondary improvements of the Steelers and Browns.
22.
New England Patriots - Sergio Kindle OLB, they couldn't get to the QB last year.
23.
Green Bay Packers - Charles Brown OT, the Packers get a very solid player at a position of huge need.
24.
Philadelphia Eagles - Taylor Mays S, Haha.
25.
Baltimore Ravens - Jared Odrick DE, they worked on their offense in free agency but they must not forget to give the defense some love as well.
26.
Arizona Cardinals - Sean Weatherspoon ILB, Dansby is gone and Weatherspoon is a perfect replacement.
27.
Dallas Cowboys - Mike Iupati G, A bit of a disappointment, the cowboys get a very promising guard to bolster an already massive OLine but that is just how the draft goes sometimes.
28.
San Diego Chargers - Terrence Cody NT, Jammal Williams is gone but the other 3 teams in the AFC West all strive to be power running teams.
29.
New York Jets - Bruce Campbell OT, it's not a flashy selection but they know that the right side of their OLine is getting old and must improve it soon. Not many other available players fit them either.
30.
Minnesota Vikings - Devin McCourty CB, a need but he is also a very promising prospect with great speed.
31.
Indianapolis Colts - Brian Price DT, he is a dangerous pass rusher but he also stops the run better than people give him credit for.
32.
New Orleans Saints - Carlos Dunlap DE, they can afford to take a risky guy like Dunlap because they already have 2 pretty solid DE's but if Dunlap keeps out of trouble and develops he can become dominant.
