Starting SG measurements

This is just a follow up to the discussion I had with Fundamentally Sound but quoting the post would have truncated the picture so I am posting here.

I could not find all the official pre-draft measurements so I either left some unlisted as "n/a" or I had to refer to the listed measurements from ESPN (for height only). It would probably be wise to remove the outliers like Iverson, Durant, and Dunleavy so I omitted them but this is just a general idea over a smaller, more relevant sample (starting 2 guards), so take it for what you will. I was curious to see the NBA averages for starting 2 guards which I feel is more relevant than the averages based on a sample of 132 SGs. I've added some comments on the side to explain why I chose a particular SG to include in the sample. I am omitting vertical jump because no one is asking for blocked shots or perimeter defenders to leave their feet.

[From the FanShots. I do not endorse commenter mwtb's tough-guy talk. I am a big softie and want everyone overpaid and happy. -ed.]

Another negotiating ploy, no one's falling for it. I will laugh my @$$ off once the dollar starts to recover vs. the Euro.

Rose not planning to visit Miami?

[From the FanPosts. The whole series of quotes is quite weird, but Rose may have accidentally just shown Pax's hand. -ed.]

But as Rose concluded his two-day visit with the Bulls Thursday at the Berto Center, the point guard sounded unsure if he even had a workout scheduled with the Miami Heat, owners of the second pick in the June 26 NBA draft.

"I don't think so," Rose said. "I think I have to ask [agent] B.J. [Armstrong] or someone about it. But all I know now is that I'm here."

Rose's older brother and confidante, Reggie, went even stronger, saying Rose won't visit Miami because "this is our last stop."

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/cs-080619-derrick-rose-chicago-bulls,0,6343427.story

Well, I guess all the Bulls had to do was look into B-Easy's eyes and see Looney Tunes and t-t-t-t-t-that's all folks!

Paxson - Isiah III?

Can Isiah bail-out Paxson for the third time? I think Zeke has it in him. I want to believe.

This kind of deal might barely cause a ripple after the blockbusters we've seen lately -- and two sources close to the situation insist that it probably won't happen -- but New York and Chicago have apparently discussed a trade that would send Ben Wallace to the Knicks for Quentin Richardson, Malik Rose and Fred Jones.
