The Legacy of Generation K

By now we all know the story behind Generation K: the Mets had three stud pitchers in their minor league system poised to anchor the rotation for years to come. These men of course were Paul...

I was watching ESPNEWS (don't judge) and our very own golden child Chris Cotter was anchoring. I quickly whipped this up on MS Paintz in honor of everyone's favorite SNY roving reporter (even if it is by default).

Why I Want the Mets to Lose in 2012 and Other Buzzed Thought on the Mets at 2:30

For the first time in my life, I find myself heading into Spring Training with absolutely no hope for a good season (I was too young and naive in the dark days of 2003-2004). As a matter of fact,...

A little help for my friend

My friend (who I previously believed to be a knowledgeable baseball fan) were having a discussion about Greg Maddux (I claimed that he was the best pitcher of the past 30 years, but that is neither...

This Is A Fanshot

I was on fangraphs today and I was shocked to learn that despite a high ERA, FIP and xFIP, judging by SIERA, this has been Pelfrey's best year. Albeit, a 4.45 SIERA is nothing to write home about,...

Just a shitty MS Paint of some Mets that I feel look similar to famous people (coincidentally both happen to be 70's rockers)...and yes, I know that these comparisons have probably been made before.

SNY has announced this week the cancellation of Emaus and Andy. The program was struggling in the ratings, getting a putrid .171 Neilson rating. SNY will air a 30 minute highlight program in its place, consisting of mostly of the great plays made against the Mets by such formidable opponents as the Astros and the Nationals. SNY did mention that Emaus and Endy's lead in show, CSI: Citi Field featuring Kevin Burkhardt, was getting strong ratings. "I want a primetime Emmy now, not three seasons from now," said Burkhardt.

What if?: What would the 2011 Mets look like if they kept their prospects?

People are never too keen on trading top prospects (see Scott Kazmir).  But over the past decade, the Mets have traded away an incredible level of talented prospects (or simply let them sign...

10 Games into the Season: The Good, The Bad, and The Hopeful

Well, the 2011 Mets baseball season is only 10 incredibly frustrating (for the most part) games old, and there has been a lot that we fans have had to complain about.  But when we look a little...
