Positive ESPN article on BOB's Recruiting
Yes, I know it's ESPN. But it's a pretty favorable article. And for some reason, it's posted today, 1/17, even though the header says it's "Originally Published 1/18". Guess that means we're ahead of our time.

Committee Member says "3 Weeks"
According to Ira Lubert, he's devoting the next 3 weeks to this, full time. So perhaps that's their timeline, though I suppose unforseen events can alter that.
PSU-Nebraska: 3:30 Start
According to both the PSU and Cornhusker clubhouses on ESPN tonight.
UNCW coach quits
So the UNCW coach quits today, in midseason because of his lousy record--but with a win over PSU in his pocket. So maybe it's time for Ed to take a hard look at himself. Such a disappointment this 09-10 season has been. Can we please find a coach with a proven BCS-level resume to take over this program? Please? I just wish we could take this sport seriously--and have been since about 1986.
Bracketology: Lions Among Last Four In
Gotta keep it rolling...a win at Ohio State would be enormous...as long as we don't follow it up with a loss at home against Indiana.
A Stud for MBB in 09-10?!?
According to the CDT,Sasa Borovnjak from Veritas Christian Academy is a stud 6-9 forward that will commit to PSU today. Could this guy be as good as the article advertises? And might he actually bring some ball handling and high-percentage scoring to the low post once Jamelle is gone?
Maybe this guy can be a go-to guy for Talor Battle, so that he doesn't have to do EVERYTHING next year.
One can only hope... (and I think we're looking at a 7-11 conference finish this year. how disappointing.)
Crowds (??) at MBB games
I know there was weather issues...but come on...it looks so pathetic on TV to have 3000 fans in the BJC. It wasn't just last night's Purdue game...but at all the games this year, it looks so bad to see the oceans of empty blue seats. Why can't they play a couple of games in Rec Hall where at least you'd have some atmosphere with even 3-4000 people there? All the games while the students are away should be played there.
I'm praying that once the students get back and the conference schedule gets in full swing that the early success will translate into some fan interest and decent crowds.
Newsome: Good! Rest of Class: ???
It's great that we got Kevin Newsome, but if one looks on Rivals.com, the rest of the class seems lacking? We've got half as many 4-star players as Ohio State and USC do, and have less than even Michigan State and Michigan.
I know that these rankings can be bogus and can't always predict future success...but given a choice I'd rather be up there with the big boys, wouldn't you?
09 FB Sched--Why not Pitt?
PSU's schedule for next season must be one of the worst in modern history, and certainly won't help them achieve any kind of decent BCS rating no matter how many games that they win. Why couldn't we have added someone decent from a BCS conference to the schedule...like, Pitt for instance? Pitt just added Youngstown State this fall for Sept. 5, why couldn't PSU have made a deal to play one with Pitt, no matter where it was held? We already have 7 home games, we even could have gone to Heinz field and still had as many home games as last year.
I hate the 12th game. The Big Ten should add an extra conference game like the Pac-10 did. (Apologize if this is old news...I'm new to this blog. Good stuff.)
