I love the San Francisco Giants.

As a kid I collected pins on a hat. I wore the Croix de Candlestick proudly. I also had a Giant-LA-with the red-DO NOT-strikethrough like you see with no smoking signs.

I was at the first home series vs the D'backs, and the last home series at Candlestick Park.

My dad took me to friday night dodger games. I saw Lou Seal 'flash' a bunch of drunks. I've hated the dodgers ever since.

I never saw a single Barry Bonds milestone home run. But I saw MANY Barry Bonds home runs. I saw even more walks. I hate chickens.

The only playoff games I have ever been to have been losses. I saw J.T. Snow's home run, and Livan Herna---ack

I mean the best, but it's hard not to be emotional about a such a big dumb game.

But some dummies are just real big dummies sometimes.

Why I am actually fairly pleased with offseason 2012

Disclaimer: This is long winded, sorry about that. Skip to the bottom for TL;DR discussion points. It is my belief that the San Francisco Giants 2011-2012 offseason was actually pretty good,...

Saw this posted at Lookout Landing, and thought I would post it here. It's a good read, and gives insight into a pretty dynamic player.

For those hankering to hear more opinions on baseball games that have yet to be played, check this out if you haven't yet. Carson's an entertaining fellow and does a good job mediating the discussion to keep it interesting. They talk more about the ALCS (of course), but start talking about the NLCS around the 25 minute mark. Dave Cameron speaks pretty highly of Tim Lincecum, but then goes on to pan the Giants offense and predict the Phillies to roll them over. I'd like someone to show him the similar triple slash lines from the NLDS, and how the Giants rank up against the league average on a poistion by position basis.

A tip-a-the-cap to Colorado

Dear Colorado Rockies and affiliates,  Please don't hate Giants fans for exulting in the wake of your defeat. We've had so little reason to watch baseball the past few seasons (aside from freak...
