its never too early (prelim 2013 mock draft)
yea, i know whats gonna be said, way too early to even consider what will happen that far in the future....but im doing it anyways..........this is my 2013 mock as i see it happening now, it will certainly change (probably alot) between now and next april..........
1 (pick 25) Xavier Rhodes, CB, Florida state, (the situation @cb will still be shaky next year with houstons contract up and lacey probably gone....i see mayhew @ co finally making a move to get a true #1 in the back end of the D)
2(pick 50) Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas (mayhew further strengthens the secondary by finally solidifying the other saftey spot)
3(pick 75) Dalton Freeman, C, Clemson (center of the future, finally)
4 (traded for tahir whitehead)
5 (pick125) Craig Roh, DE, Michigan
6( pick 150) Baker Steinkhuler, DT, Nebraska
7(pick 175) Rex Burkhead, RB, Nebraska
id like to think the first 3 picks would all be starters sometime in 2013, the rest would be quality depth.
feel free to rip it apart.
my mock
my view of the lions offseason 2011.
i think this is a pretty realistic scenario for what could happen in the offseason.

if he can keep this up on through training camp he could capture himself a roster spot.....personally id love to see it happen, UDFA makes good in detroit...that wold be a hell of a story...of course im expecting big things from caleb campbell and mike moore too.........this could go down as the best draft in (recent) lion's history. lovin the schwartz/mayhew era so far.....
brandon ghee wants to play for the lions
i like this kid already! he could be the cornerstone to the CB position here in detroit, the only thing im worried about is him having only one career INT.......if he can work on his ball skills i think he could be solid.........i say players actually wanting to come play here is just the thing we need.
nate burleson on lions radar?

???
4-5 years ago i would h ave loved burleson on the lions.........not sure what to think about him now...........think he would be able to make an impact for the lions? i mean he's getting on the older side a bit but i thinkhe might be able to be a solid contributer........id like to think id be happy if the lions came away with him but i just havent watched enough of him as a seahawk to see weather hes digressed or improved from his viking days......
3 free agents that might be possibilities.....
