Bloody Elbow UFC 140 Scorecard

Ugh...

I just came across the scorecards for UFC 140 over at MMAWeekly.com, and as the topic of MMA judging has been done to death, this should come as no surprise. 2 of the 3 judges scored the first round of Jones vs Machida for Jon Jones.

This obviously makes no difference, as Jones came out in the second and handled his business, but this just goes to show the issues of judging incompetence remain largely unaddressed by those in control.

I’m not writing this to disparage any of the individuals employing a "Safe Fighting" mentality, nor to label anybody as such. Only to defend those of us that finds these tactics at times tiresome and disappointing to watch, and at its worst, a negative for the growth of the sport.
