Vick with Sal on ESPN
"Andy wont lose his job on my watch"
"While Peyton Manning is reportedly not interested in going to the Washington Redskins, there is another team with a realistic shot at landing the superstar QB — the Arizona Cardinals, according to Adam Schein of FOX Sports.
Sources tell Schein that Manning has "put out feelers about the Cardinals," and is "very intrigued by playing with Larry Fitzgerald and bringing [Reggie] Wayne along as his wingman." Manning reportedly likes Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt and has reached out to learn more about him.
If the Cards are able to sign Manning, they are expected to unload Kevin Kolb and retain John Skelton as the backup behind Manning."
So if they dont get Manning, is Skelton the starter?
Midway through the 2005 Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, New England safety Eugene Wilson went out injured, which sent a rookie into the game. But the Eagles' coaching staff did not realize there was a backup at safety until about five minutes remained. Then the Eagles, who had only one receiver per side most of the second half, lined up with double wides and ran a deep post at the new defender -- touchdown. The Patriots held on to win by three. Had Philadelphia attacked the novice safety earlier, the outcome could have been different
Philadelphia (8-8). Someone Who Knows told me a major roadblock to Steve Spagnuolo taking the defensive coordinator job in Philadelphia was the presence of very strong personality Jim Washburn on the defensive line.

Teams warned about faking injuries
"The NFL sent a memo Wednesday to all 32 teams warning of fines, suspensions and loss of draft picks if the league determines players faked injuries during a game."
"The Eagles were awful Thursday night. And in Week 6 of the regular season, you'll laugh about it." -Peter King
My sentiments exactly Mr. King

Does anyone have any tickets for the Eagles/ Steelers game next week in Pitt that they would be willing to sell? Comment if you're interested.
"Because we don't want to be sitting around when we get older, watching ESPN and having them talk about how we were so close and we never got it done."
Well put Juan
Guess who this scrappy young fella' is.

Rumor: Bengals reportedly ready to part with Palmer, move on Kolb
The Cincinnati Bengals are ready to move on without Carson Palmer. Not surprisingly, ESPN reports — via Adam Schefter on Twitter — that in their hunt for a replacement starting quarterback, team officials have interest in Philadelphia Eagles backup Kevin Kolb. Part of the reasoning is that Kolb's position coach from a year ago, James Urban, has moved on to coach the Bengals' wide receivers.
Madden 2012 Cover expo!
I thought it would be cool for people who are pretty good with Photoshop to display any Madden cover designs for this years game. They can be funny, serious, whatever you want. I put mine up as my contribution. Hope you enjoy and post if you're in the mood.
Rating all 31 NFL Stadiums
I can agree with where the Linc is ranked.

My first (officially watching) Eagles home game
So a friend of mine had a extra standing room only ticket for this weekends game against the Redskins and invited me to come along. This will be my first official home game I get to attend as a 100% fan. This isnt my first Eagles game though. Last year I volunteered to work CSS (people in yellow shirts at games) for the 3rd preseason game against the Jaguars and it was pretty nice watching the Eagles for free but I was busy 75% of the time, so I barely got to watch the game. Before that, I saw the Eagles play the Bears in Soldier Field during the 2008 season. So as you can guess Im pretty excited to watch Mcnabb return and CHEER for him loudly as I rock my 5 jersey and drink and watch the entire game with other Eagles fans. Now, being as this is my first game, I had a few questions.
- Where is the best parking? How much does parking cost? (When I worked the game, I got to park in the Nova Care complex lot)
- Any suggestions on how to get down to the seats after half time? I remember someone saying that people will leave after half time and sometimes will give away/sell their tickets for cheap; any other ideas?
- How are the Standing room only tickets? Can you see actually see which player is which from that area?
I appreciate any help and any other suggestions to make for a better Eagles experience. Thanks.
Eagles fans in NYC
Andy Reid was giving a pregame speech in the locker room when he asked, "WHO THINKS WE CAN WIN THIS GAME?!" Kevin said a few guys kind of mumbled, "just us," but not very convincingly, when Andy yelled, "NOBODY. YOU KNOW WHY?’’
And he pointed straight to Kevin, ``BECAUSE NUMBER FOUR IS OUR QUARTERBACK."
Growing pains for McNabb
"McNabb seemed to be getting intercepted more than he should. He was throwing behind receivers, and earlier this week he unleashed a wounded duck downfield that was picked off easily by Carlos Rogers"
I didnt post this to bash McNabb, I just thought it was funny that everyone expected him to showup and lead them to the Super Bowl.
2007 Draft grades are always good for a laugh
Grade given on 5/1/07: D
Good Moves: Tony Hunt was a great choice at the bottom of the third round. He'll be the perfect complement to Brian Westbrook. Stewart Bradley is a nice player.
Bad Moves: Kevin Kolb? Kevin Kolb!? Easily one of the dumbest picks I've ever seen. How about Chris Houston? David Harris to eventually replace Jeremiah Trotter? Dwayne Jarrett? Eric Wright? The Eagles already have a young QB (A.J. Feeley) and a veteran (Kelly Holcomb) to back up Donovan McNabb. You're supposed to get a guy who can make an immediate impact the first two rounds, and Philadelphia did not do that. In fact, Andy Reid completely ignored his horrendous secondary. This move reminds me of the Houston Texans in 2003, who took Louisville QB David Ragone just one year after choosing David Carr. Ragone played in a few games and then left the team for nothing. If McNabb plays for six or seven more seasons, the Eagles won't see Kolb until 2013. By then, he may be with a different organization. What a waste. I feel sorry for an Eagle fan right now. What an embarrassing and pathetic move by the franchise. Other than Hunt, no player Philadelphia obtained will likely make an impact in 2007.
I also found another good one, this time from Mel Kiper
"5. The Philadelphia Eagles traded out of the first round with the Cowboys, who took defensive end Anthony Spencer. The Eagles used the 36th overall pick (their first pick in the draft) on Houston QB Kevin Kolb when QBs Drew Stanton, John Beck and Trent Edwards were all still on the board."
Hey does anyone know a good place to find old combine videos? Id love to watch Kevin Kolb's and Desean Jackson's workouts and see what the commentary was at the time.
Eagles players and their superhero counterparts
In honor of Comic Con going on this week (yes, Im a comic nerd as much as I am a Eagles fan) , I got to thinking about about matching Eagles players to superheroes from both Marvel and DC. This might seem stupid to some, and if so, just skip on by. I figured, its still less than a week till training camp, so what other news is there to write about. So read after the jump to see who I have matched up...
The rule of 26-27-60
Interesting article. I dont think it means a whole lot since Donovan reportedly scored a 14 on the wonderlic test but still a pretty good read.
Faith Hill recently shot her opening to NBC's "Sunday Night Football" at a studio in Hollywood. Shot at the studio were scenes of the Bears' Brian Urlacher pinballing his way through the columns at Soldier Field (and cracking one with a mighty collision), the Eagles' DeSean Jackson running to the top of the famed "Rocky" steps, the Vikings' Adrian Peterson sprinting past ice fishermen on a frozen lake and Freeney swim-moving his way through a cornfield. Among the other players who will be featured are Peyton and Eli Manning, Larry Fitzgerald, Hines Ward, Tony Romo, DeMarcus Ware, Drew Brees, Charles Woodson and Ray Lewis.
McNabb and Vincent Jackson possibly on the same team?
"One thing we did find out Wednesday is that Jackson has been working out with Redskins QB Donovan McNabb, per NFL.com senior writer Steve Wyche. "
"He told me that Te'o-Nesheim did for Washington what Troy Polamalu did for USC," said Roseman. "He can rush inside or outside for us."
Fantansy Rankings
Pretty interesting article with all 32 QB's ranked (Kolb comes in at 11, ahead of Mcnabb, Eli and Flacco) and other lists/rankings. Pretty good read.
Cowboys inside linebacker Keith Brooking talked to us on Dallas-Fort Worth's 103.3 FM ESPN this afternoon. Here's some of the audio. I asked a couple questions on your behalf and we got Brooking fired up about Eagles tight end Brent Celek. You might recall that Celek told us two months ago that he was looking forward to playing Brooking based on some of the comments he made about the Eagles' offense.
We relayed some of those comments to Brooking today, and here's what he said in response:
"Oh, he’ll find me, I promise," Brooking said of Celek. "You can print that one. He won’t have to look for me very hard... He can jump in the middle of our huddle, if he’s that bad."
Inspired by JimmyK's Kolb post, here is a college highlight video. This was my first time watching it and thought everyone would want to see it. First thing you notice is KK is actually a pretty mobile QB.
