I am a 2013 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where I earned a degree in finance, marched in the Pitt Band, and helped to revitalize The Panther Pitt. I joined Cardiac Hill as a contributor in June 2011, with my writing focusing primarily on Pitt football. Outside of Pitt athletics, I am a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club, The Wall Street Journal, and colorful shorts above the knee.

RB Bryson Rescinds Pitt Committment

+

According to Pantherlair, running back Jeremiah Bryson, one of the few Wannstedt holdovers from the 2011 recruiting class, has decided to withdraw from Pitt and attend Middle Tennessee instead. Apparently a variety of factors led to the decision. It's hard to get too upset over this since he had yet to play a down, but he was a solid recruit nonetheless. Too bad.

"Pitt is going in a great direction because it is being led by quality people doing it the right way. Coach (Todd) Graham explained to me that he doesn’t care how good a player is, the player must also be a quality person before he can play at Pitt. These are the reasons I believe we’ll be able to make it to the national championship. He explained to me that Pitt football is going to be a program based on faith, family and hard work … They have top notch-facilities, play in a great conference and are a great academic school." Center Brandyn Cook on his recent commitment to Pitt.
