Guess what week it is?
ITS DALLAS HATE WEEK!!!!!!
Please feel free to discuss how much you LOVE hate or feel indefferent about this game. Is it really any different than any other game? Dispite all of Dallas' injuries is there still a chance we could throw this away. Does home field advantage really help Dallas' chances. OR!!!!!!, are we gonna just smash the shit outta them on MNF in front of the world and put a healthy lead on our division standings.
If we win, that would be 3 wins int he NFC and 2 from the conference. If we win, will we finally get some airtime on ESPN? If we win, that will give us a 70+ percent chance of going to playoff (based on historical NFL stats). If we win, the victory will give us exactly the number of wins that the ESPN "EXPERTS" said we would total for the entire season. What do you think?
Is there really some Kool-aid to drink? have we only gotten lucky in the past 2 games? Dispite controling the entire game in every aspect of the stat sheet? Was it just because this team is banged up on D or that team is under a new system with a shacky backfield? Will we only win in Dallas because all their starters and beat the hell up?
Fellas (and ladies if there are any on here) I think there is Kool-Aid to drink. Hell I dont leave home w/o at least a pony keg strapped to my back. I think there is a reason for us all to get exceited. I think this is a marque year for us. If it is and we go into the post season what does that say for the next 2 seasons. when Shanny came in here, he said that we could not have the team he invisions for contention for 3 to 4 years.
With that Said!!!!
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!!

Milcmann's Hog's Haven Fantasy Football League news..
Dont forget.. the draft is tomarrow... Dont be late!!! You know what? Be late... I will gladly take all of better players from you.
But seriously..... With the Hurricane at hand and the possibility of power outages increased ( More-so if you use PEPCO). Does anyone want me to change the draft date back a week? Hell i might be the only person on the league living in the VA area.
On another note. Which of you guys is gonna beat me to drafting Beck in the first round? lol..
Good luck all... Let me know...

Some thoughts about the Lockout!
AWWWWW the poor poor owners...
The owners are the ones that sign not only the paychecks but also sign the CONTRACTS which guarantee the players of thier contracts. It is the owners that buy into the team, the stadium, and the fanbase that supports the bank roll. If you know that an area is gonna be tough to pull in fan support because of its high poverty levels, dont get made when no one can afford to buy tickets to the game. You cannot punish the employees because you made a bad investment. If the owners truely are hurting for money on a broad scale (that they refuse to prove),then why do they continue to overpay unproven players (primarily first round picks and AH). If they are hurting for money, what kind of sense does it make to make so that there may be no football for an entire season. Why push for a lockout when it isnt legally or fiscally the smart thing to do. I mean if the players wanna strike, then let them strike. Hell hire some replacement players at whatever salery you deem fit cause they are players that didn't make it to the big game for whatever reason and will do anything to get some game tape and maybe get picked up by a team when the storm is over.
The players deserve the money they get payed cause someone (an owner) wanted to make an investment in the team to try and spark revenue. Everyone knows that the life expectancy for players is 3-5 years in the NFL. This is no shocker. The NFL makes so much money off of said players and it is only fair that the brunt of the money should go back the ones putting thier health and lives on the line for our entertainment. They have refined thier skill starting from Pee Wee to High School to killing themselves "without income" in college while others do nothing but profit. God forbid a player trade some of his property for a tattoo discount. Yeah that deems a four game (possibly) carreer killing suspention. If they graduate they will have already spent 17 years devoting themselves, beating themselves up for OUR entertainment for a chance. A very small chance that one of the 32 team out there will find a need for them in thier system. If there is no tema that wants them or they get injured then they are SOL. There is no minor leage. Unless ofcourse you count the 4 team UFL there is not a competitive alternative. Yeah they had an education provided for them and should have used it to its full potential. Once a team picks them up and signs a contract with them they should be held liable to that contract. Do you think that a player is gonna get a pass if they refuse to honor the contract . Hell no.
Please someone tell me one good reason why the owners should be able to demand more profit by renegotiating contracts in order to make themselves more money. Your bad investment in buying the team then you either sell or reap what you have sewn.
How bad would it hurt the NFL and not individual teams if they dropped a few million into a fund to help retired players with "FOOTBALL" related injuries. Hell I bet if you had a donation system that the active players could get into voluntarily. With said program each active player can donate however much they want to be alloted from thier paychecks to the fun. Hell make it a publc donation. I bet fans would even throw in some cash.
Just some thoughts
***Theory*** This year will be known as year ZERO!!!
Here we go again. I know, I know, I know... Another absent minded post by the guy who thinks he knows everything. Well its a fact, I do in fact know everything.
My theory is this. We all may know by now, that we are not going to the SB. I don’t know why anyone would have thought such a thing would happen. I will admit that in the beginning of the season I was quite optimistic. As it sometimes happens, reality did in fact set in. The odd thing is that we won games that all of us had counted as losses in the preseason.
The reason I am thinking that this is actually year Zero for the Shannies is this. The team he walked in on was a highly untalented 4-12 team. Go figure we have only won 5 games this year. He knew this team was a dressed up landfill of overpaid, underrated talent. I think what he did coming in to this season was put some pieces in (band aids) to get us over the hump. Evaluate the talent over the year then next year blow everything up again. What is the first thing he did this season? He dropped like 10 players that had for the most part been highly involved in the Zorn scheme. Then, he brought in a bunch of waiver losers that wouldn't cost too much but would maybe do enough to get us by. Call it what you will but I think that he really didn’t want us to contend. How else do you explain some of the moves he has made this year? I think he wanted us to do better than last year but also wanted a high draft pick to use. With a high draft pick you can make several plays for more picks in the later rounds just by trading down.
Here is where the brunt of my theory comes into play. As far as players are concerned and the teams shape for the next season. We don’t have many draft picks. So what can you do about that? Well? Look at some people he could possibly trade that have shown that they have what it takes to impress other teams to give up picks.
* McNabb - Didn't play well here but played better than what the Vikes, Broncos, Titans, Cardinals, Panthers, or 49ers had to offer. One of them would love to bite on what McNabb could offer. I think that is the very reason they gave him "The Contract". Now no matter where he goes he will be taken care of regardless of how bad he was treated by the Shannies. This is also backed up by this sudden change to Grossman. Keep the McNabb chip healthy and see if Grossman is worthy of a trade or being serviceable enough to keep for the next year.
* Torrain - I don’t think Shanny will trade him but he has certainly earned some looks from hurting teams in the RB position.
* Cooley - I hate to say it. I really don’t want to even think about it but I think this might have been his last year as a Redskin. He could be plugged into any team with the exception of maybe 4 teams that already have good TEs. He could seriously get us a good pick or two. I know i am going to get yelled at about this one but we have good back-ups and its us that has the attachment to Cooley not Shanny.
Now we all know that the D is not built right for the 3-4. So there is a lot there that can be traded off.
* Macintosh - had a concussion this year but has still earned looks to starving Ds around the league.
* Fletcher - Lets admit it. The man is a beast but it kind of scares me when he is forced to cover a slot WR. He will get picked up on any team in the league, regardless of the need. However, his age is a huge factor so I don’t think he is going to go anywhere.
* Landrey - Last year we lost love for him in the FS position. But this year at SS,(had he not gotten injured) would have easily taken the MVP. I don’t think that he gets traded but would seriously earn us some draft cheddar.
* D. Hall - tied for second in takeaways this year. Don’t forget the four in one game one half. He could be traded for picks. He plays his ass off but sometimes buts head with the coaching staff.
* Macintosh - The concussions certainly don’t help his trade worth but his play is certainly worthy of some looks.
* Haynesworth - They gave the man all the chances in the world to prove his worth to the team. They build coverage packages just to make him happy. I think that any worth he had at midseason is gone now. Maybe someone bites but I just don’t think we get anything for him. Regardless, he will never play for this team again. Someone will claim him off waivers.
I know all of that is a lot to read but I just don’t think that Shanny was coming in here thinking he was going to stun the league with the talent at hand. This might also explain the Kelly IP early on. Simply let the guy learn the system and take a full season to get in shape. I think we will go through maybe two years of this pattern before we have a worthy team of contention. The team has been neglected for 10 years and will take several to get back to a competitive nature.
BenchGate...A Love Story...
No, It's not a really a love story. It is more than anything a power struggle during the first year of marriage.
A lot of people are attacking Shanny for the stupidity of the decision he made in the Lions game. Looking at 1:45 on game clock in Detroit, I think that we would all agree that it was a bonehead move. Now, to many of us the sky is now officially falling and the world is in fact over. Here we go again 4-12 part deux.
I will now try to explain why this might have saved our season.
I think we can all agree by now that Mike and Kyle both have a certain ego to themselves when it comes to running this team. In my opinion, it is a needed attribute to be a successful leader. An ego (if played right) creates an atmosphere of zero tolerance and forces more out of your team. Look at every successful coach in the NFL today and you will see an ego in every one of them. Except Tony Dungy...the guy is a playmaking genius and great motivator.
Now back to us. We are supposed to be running a West Coast offense. Under the West Coast offense your line doesn't need to be all that great. By design you are to chip the field away with high percentage passes and a balanced run attack. How has that been working for us? I'm sure you all have noticed that when McNabb throws one of these passes deep to Galloway, AA, or Moss under double coverage you would have seen that Davis or Cooley is open in the flat for at least the first down with no one on them. The most noticable of these have come in the final minutes of a game with plenty of time on the clock (i.e...the Colts game). When he does throw close, he is just plain off his game. I think that most of the frustration that the Shannies have for McNabb is that he is trying too hard to be the hero. He is trying to make the big play over just getting the next first down. Now cue the SuperBowl winning headcoach who only sees his QB going against his gameplan then throws the game losing INT.

FINALLY!!!! It Is HERE!!!! DALLAS Hate Week...
I would first like to think all the pendants that have Dallas winning everything in the East this year. I hope that we can all help you in your journey to look stupid.
I know I have been drinking a lot of the grape drink this year but I Think we have a lot going for us. I am as always optimistic in spite of our hellatious schedule. We all have to remember that the rest of our division has the same crazy schedule. I really don’t understand why Dallas has so much hype thrown into their corner every year. To me they are all over hyped.
Shanny has been planning this season for over a year now. I mean the match-up there is too easy... Shanny or Wade fatty... If they didn’t have all that talent on the team to carry him he would have already been fired.
Talent? did I just really say that. This year Austin is going to draw the double coverage then that leaves Roy Williams and the rookie Bryant that has not even really practiced with Romo so they will be off... The O line is already wounded. The past 2 preseason games they look horrible. I know it’s all just preseason but you have to come up with better excuses than "vanilla Play calling" as T. Romo coined against the Texans. I’m just not buying any of it. None...
So let’s give them hell this week. If you see someone driving down the road with a Lone Star in their windshield given them a little loving tap at 60mph and let them know how you feel. If you see a blue a blue and silver jersey at the grocery store, help them with their produce by pelting as many tomatoes to their faces as you possibly can...
As the late Great Jim Zone once said "I'm proud to be a part of the Red and Black"... We should have known from right there that it was going to be a rough future... Let’s Go Burgundy and Gold... It’s time to shut up the pendants and teach them a new song. .....HTTR.....

Jason Campbell becomes Batman! Line troubles at his new Home.
Do you wanna be his Robin? Joking.. I hope he is alright
I never liked Campbell here. I wanted to like him but every season but there was always the same old story about potential but very little improvement in his decisions on the field. I did like him in all the things he did off the field here in the DC area.
One thing I can always say for JC is that he was a tough cookie when it came to getting up after the hits he took behind our " Less Than Par" O line. Last night though he took a shot that left him seeing stars for the remainder of the game. Again I feel bad for him and hope he recovers.
Fantasy Drama #2: Looks like Ima gonna win
Well, you all talked trash. Several of you even touted about how great you were at playing the game. Guess what, YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP FOR THE DRAFT IF YOU WANT A DECENT TEAM!!!! Tape Wormz was the only other person drafting in person. By looking at his team he probably should have just auto drafted as well. I think the only players he knew about were QBs he guessed at everyone else. Who knows how things will turn out but I do know that SHVD will not beat me this year... good luck to you all...
Have a good season!

Lets rank em... Who will win the EAST!!!
Now, I know we all love the Skins. I know every off season we all drink in the Cool-aid and buy into the marketing schemes that win us the off season Super Bowl every year. Its what makes us the loyal fans that we all are. That or just really dedicated suckers. I have been loyal to this team since I watched my first football game which just so happened to be the 87 Super Bowl. Ok so I was a band wagon fan, but I was 9, so I get a pass.
I want you all to push that aside for a moment and answer with reason. WHO WILL WIN THE EAST!!!
Lets look at the facts here.
The SKins: Everything about this team is different. New HoF coach, New Def coach and the 3-4, new HoF QB, and many new pieces all around the field. I think a big upside advantage for us is that noone has any tape to watch. No one can study for these games. at least for the first half of the season.
The Cowgirls: Nothing new really atall about this team. the offence is the same the Def is the same. I think they have a lot of good things going for them but they are predictable. The tape from he last two years still applies. Probably the team to beat for the top spot.
The G-men: Now the Giants have not changed too much on the offensive side of the ball but the D has had a lot more players thrown at it. So we dont really know what they are gonna look like. I just think that the O line is aged too much and is weak.
The Eagles: I dont know what they were thinking this off season but I am not going to complain. They have decieded to run with a second fiffle QB and give McNabb to a division rival. I cannot really see them going too far this season but who knows...
Odd Man out... Who will IT be..?
Our QB situation is beginning to sound like something out of a soap opera. I'm talking about the real World, it has been something of a soap opera on this site for a while.
What we know right now is that we have Jason Campbell ( He isnt Christ just cause his initals are JC...LJP), Rex "The Hex" Grossssssman, and Colt Brennan on the roster for the time being. With that said, there is a lot back ground chatter going on about the three top rookie prospects in the draft. What we know is that Tim " The Saint" Tebow and Sam Bradford are not coming here for workouts. We also know that Jimmy Clausen was swooned over by Danny boy and the VINmyster a few months back.
The plays made towards the rookies could all be political. It could all be draft postering with a few tricks up the sleeve. If it is'nt. If they do intend on grabbing one of these rookies who will be the QB that gets the cut.
Only the FO knows for sure what plays they are going to make but I am posing a question to you all.. What if they have a team wanting to bite on Campbells tender? If one of those teams that were considering the use of a #1 pick for a QB are considering the trade for a veteran instead. Im not saying that this is what will happen but it would be a cheaper choice for a team than paying multi millions for an unsure draft pick that they will be stuck with. At least with Campbell they know what they are getting.
Or will it be Colt or Rex? Will one of them be cut after the preseason games if we do draft a rookie. Who knows...
I personally DON'T like any of the three ROOKIEs...
One thing for sure is that what ever the team looked like last year, for better or worse, will not look at all like the same team this year. All I have to say to that is THANK GOD!!!!

A Fan!!!... No BS!!!... Who is a lock to start?
I am a fan that expects the best out of every player on the roster. I dont except excuses, I dont except the fact that we were 4-12 just because our coaches sucked. If it were just a case where the coach could take all the blame then why the mass dumpoff of starting talent. Why tender your QB for a handshake and a lollipop. The Coaches coach and the players play. Everyone is at fault. Everyone has a piece of the pie in a game.
Topic of this post:
The overtime show on 106.7 posed a question to everyone. Who on the team is a lock to start this year. Im talking about mainly Offense and Defense. I know alot of us have many favs on here but I am talking about the 100% dead locks that will with out a doubt start this year. Name them and if any of your choices have struggled in the past but you feel they will start explain why you think they will be in the starting 11.
Here are my picks:
Offense: Cooley, Rabach, Moss, Sellers
Defense: Fletcher, Orakpo, Haynesworth, Hall
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head that are dead locks as starters
On the fence.... Campbell, Thomas, Carter..
My Opionion on Campbell (if you missed it)
I have like him as QB and have been totally disgusted with him every season he has played for us. I am sold on Campbell. Im sold on the fact that he is good but I know that he isnt good enough. Im just a fan that wants a new Joe Theisman (in his Prime) clone rolled every year. I am a fan that expects the best out of every player on the roster. I dont except excuses, I dont except the fact that we were 4-12 just because our coaches sucked. If it were just a case where the coach could take all the blame, then why the mass dumpoff of starting talent. Why tender your QB for a handshake and a lollipop. If he is here, I say he will be the starter. I think it will come down to the wire in the late time frame of Free Agency as to him being here this season or not. His tender is too tempting for some struggling teams or even teams that are looking for a good backup to pass up.
I say Thomas is on the wire cause we still dont know what the FO is gonna do in FA with WRs. He could very likely be a starter this year.
QB Jason Campbell. Love him or Hate him?
This Blog is mainly for the Poll but you may respond if you like. I am just trying to get a feel as to what people think about OUR QB. Again, you do not have to respond. I would hate for you to be attacked by anyone for your opinions. In my opionion he should be kept until the rest of the team is built up and we can afford a draft pick on a QB.
Moving Forward!!!!
OK.
Now that pretty much every starter on the offence has been injured or replaced for the season except Campbell and Moss we are playing like a team.
Here is the problem.
I know in my heart that Snyder is gonna let Campbell go and waste not just our first round pick on one of these QBs but other later round picks just to get the draft position to pick them up. Gonna totally ignore our line issues once again. Im not the biggest JC17 fan but he gets the job done with a working running game that balances things out.
I like the Ganther - Cartwright duo but we all know that unless the Cap limit is removed for next year Portis is staying. He will get the start. I just hope the extra down time and the fear of replacement kicks him into shape. If the cap limit is not removed Snyder will not have the space to eat his contract.
I would like to keep Cooley but he can be traded for more picks in the draft. He is an asset to the team but the team needs work.... A few more picks would helpful...
Coach..... Looks like Shanny is coming here. Everyone says its pretty much a done deal...(explains Sherm Lewis)... He will more than likely bring his son here from I believe SD (could be wrong on that) and many other of his personal favorites...
I know things are gonna be crazy for 2 years or so but we all need to remember that this is gonna be a total rebuild. Its gonna take years to get this team title worthy...
I dont think that the play calling will be much different then they are now but hopfully we will have plays with more than 2 looks capable....
Im ready for next year to be here all ready....
Keep in mind yall had we been playing all year as we are playing now we would have the division locked... We only 2 games by more than a TD.... Makes me cry...
Which brings me to my final point. due to our recent successes, Vinny's job is now secure. He now has the argument that his picks are solid. He can now boast that he has picked winners. He can now say that the mess we are in is because of contract agreements with Joe Gibbs when he had the controls. He will stay.. I can promise you that!
Attention everyone!!!! May Have your attention please!!!
I have spent the past many weeks pinning all of my pain and frustraition out on Jason Campbell. I have to admit I loathed the man with every aspect of my soul. I must now make a menz. I now have to PM SHVD and LJP and all the other A-holes out there that I have been rude and condesending to. This is not easy for me. I am a very pridefull man. So without futher adue, here it is.
Jason man could you pretty please with a cherry on top stay here. Dont go to SF or Carolina or who ever throws large amounts of money at you. We need you man. I was a fool. I mean admit it dude you have a little bit of an inconsistancy issue. Let me tell you though when the running game is hot you are the shit. Just know that I now have you back and will support you.
SHVD and LJP the statement above does not require a responce. I do infact still dispise both of you and the other tools out there that have argued with me.
It is now time to rally together, light our torches, and grab our pitchforks. According to my connections at Onstar Suisam was last logged heading towards Mexico. I am convinced that He is playing the spead each week. I know he is gambling its the only thing that makes and sense to me. I think my 2 yr old could make a 26yard FG. You dont even need a good snap or ball placement for that.
With all of that said I now have a new villian in my beloved Redskins locker room. I dont think that anyone else will argue with me on my recent choice.
Or wait SHVD LJP? Are either one of you or both of you guys dating him to? JKing...lol....
COWGIRLS hate WEEK!!!!!
There is nothing I hate more than a blue and silver star taking up the entire back windshield of a car in an I-66 traffic jam. There is nothing I hate more than anything that has been branded or should I say runined by the mark of the beast. Another thing I HATE (oooops its happiness week) is Jerry "Satan's boss" Jones that damned evil grin he always has. I mean the man just looks evil. Lets not forget boss Hogg in a coaches outfit.. The guy could not coach someone on how to eat an orange. I can not wait until we stomp the crap out of them on their own one point whatever billion dollar field. oh man it will be so great.....
Im gonna make a 5 layer "send ya to the craper" dip and laugh like no sain person has ever laughed before... It will be glorious.....
Take your time... Breath deaply and focus all of you will and anger onto this post.. Just vent and let it flow. (OH MY GOD I SOUND LIKE ZORN).
Like my therapist once said "Tell me whats bothering you" about the DALLAS COWGIRLS

Lets be honest Ya'll!
Ok, heres the deal. Your right. He is not the worst QB in the game. However, with that said.
I dont think that he is a starter in a west coast offense (or at least thats what we are supposed to have). He would maybe do well if he had, oh i dont know, 8 - 9 seconds to make up his mind on where to throw it. We all know how realistic that is. dont we?
Im not gonna post some rediculous poll that unly limits answers to reflect good things to say about him.
Lets Compare him to other QBs in the game right now that dont even have as much talent on the team as we do.
Aaron Rodgers is going to be my example.
* Rodgers has the highest QB rating of 110.4% with this weeks game added Campbell has an 85%.
* He has been sacked 31 times to Campbell 20. (There goes the weak O line argument)
* He has only thrown 14 TDs to Campbell 8.
*Rodgers has only given up 2 INTs Campbell has 7.
*Rodgers has 4 fumbles Campbell has 8.
* They both have roughly the same Attempted and completed pass numbers.
* I watched Rodgers throw 2 TDs to a 3rd string TE lastnight that is actually a 2nd string LINE BACKER! We have Chris Cooley who has actually seen a game this year without a single touch (before the leg) because someone does not look at him.
What I want for you guys to do is tell me something that he does well as a QB.
Is there anything left to talk about?
The season is done! Thank God of fantacy football!
Anyone still honey for Zorney? I bet Zorney wishes he wasnt Zoney.
You know It doesnt matter who comes in here in the middle of the season. It will not matter and will not matter help.
Whats even greater is that, we had a chance to trade some decent players for next years picks in the draft but we did nothing. That is something that would have given the next coach a big hand with development and rebuilding. We need all the picks we can get.
People that we can get rid of for decent picks:
Betts
Hall
CAMPBELL.(He's gone next year anyway!)
Mason
Alridge(still have no clue what we brought him back for.)
Now I know we more than likely would not have gotten 1st round picks for any of these, but an extra pick is an extra pick.
Then get a coach that knows how to develope young talent into great players.
It is now time to rebuild. Look at Green Bay. Look at what they did with a full rebuild and 3 years to grow.
All of this is yet another example of how the powers that be in our Skins camp dont care at all about the prosperity of the team.
I cannot believe that noone has posted about this yet!
Lets discuss Sherm Lewis. How do you feel about it? Do you think it will help.
From what I am hearing there are gonna be some major offensive changes here soon. OLine changes, running back changes.
*** A scary thought: With all of these running backs, it scares me to think that they may try the wildcat. Thats not just some crap you try out. Hope that doesnt happen.
Our Punting is gonna suck, so turning the ball over on downs is gonna kill us in the position war.
I have a theory!!!
What if?
What if the skins are throwing a rope-a-dope?(not sure if thats correct but you get the jist)
What if, looking at the schedule they said "lets keep the early games close".
Lets slow the scoring down a bit by only giving portis 15-20 touches a game and give him really bad plays on the goal line.
Let us appear to be underdogs in the second half of the season, then run wild.
Let Giants, Cowgirls, and Eagles count us out before each game and play weak thinking it will be an easy win.
Then
The Lions game did not go as we planned.
The fans started boycotting and BOOing the team.
The 1000 paper bags were handed out at the game.
Zorn's job was in question.
OR
Maybe im dellusional
Maybe they only play to their opponents ability.
Maybe we have no game plan and only practice to battle opponents strengths.
Maybe Campbell is who we thought Campbell was.
Maybe when our running game is on the passing game is off. WHy are we only half duplex?
Maybe we end the season 8-8
What do we DO!
Ok, I nkow that none of us have a great ammount of confidence in Jason Campbell.
!!!!BUT!!!!
***He has been playing great dispite not being able to get into the endzone. Which, I might add, was not his call, IN my opinion if we can get the running game, at the least, a threat. We will have a lot more success. The line is actually hold in pass protection situations. They are just not holding blocking assignments for the run.
***If we can convert more of the 3rd downs, the Defence will not tire in the second half of the game.
***Just think guys if we get the running game down and our redzone better will WILL win games easily.
***Every game we have lost has been by less than a TD. Might I also add that in every game we have given up TDs in the redzone. We even held the Giants/ The Glorious, immortal, unbeatable, unstoppable, perfect, G-men to a one TD game. They got away with 2 BS plays that scored for them. (IE campbell strip TD, and Manningham sideline poor tackle.)
***THIS TEAM CAN TURN AROUND A WINNING SEASON!!!!!
I have a feelin
OK, Heres the deal Ladies and dudes.
Alright, its Tuesday and I have vented. My wife now feels its safe enough for her to bring herself and the children out of the storm cellar to resume a normal life. Bad news for wife, I broke the living room furnature. Good news for wife, she gets new stuff.
Heres the real deal.
Nothing is gonna change. There will be no selling of the team. No new General Manager finding talent players. No new coach calling the snaps. We are not even gonna get a chance to play that Lions or Rams game over again.
So where do we go from here you ask? ok, heres the deal.
Chalk this season up for a loss. Just close your eyes and imagine that we finish maybe 4 and 12.. I know, i know, you say whats wrong with me how could I say that. Im not saying that that is what is gonna happen or am I saying that we are destined to this number or done this season. Im saying that if you except this number you cannot be disappointed. I am still very hopeful that this team can come together. They just need something to draw them together. Right now all that most of them are concerned about are their individual stats and the probowl. They need to pull together. Maybe (and I prey to God) losing to the Lions kicks them into gear.
Maybe we can actually get that loss to the Lions back. We all (as Skins fans) need to be rooting for the Lions from here on out. If they come away with a playoff birth then our loss to then will have been nothing to the rest of the world.
Vision
What kinda coach do we really need?
Some would say stay with Redskins tradition/
Some would say let a new coach come in and they will make us walk on water.
Some say we need taller faster receivers down field.
I know that after hardly starting the second season we are ready to hang Zorn out to dry. I dont know If he actually has a vision for where he wants this team to be. It looks like he wants fireworks with a taste of ground and pound. Campbell, lets be honest, has really improved this year with his decisions. I actually like him as a QB right now. I think that part af the problem we are seeing is that there isnt a real gameplan with what type of a game there is gonna be week to week. If we come into each week just playing against the other teams gameplan we are already lost. for example:
Colts: Manning all day long, no running game
Saints: Brees, Brees, run (team to beat this year)
Vikings: Peterson, Peterson, Favre (team to beat peterson will wear out second half of the season)
Giants: Manning (over rated) defence saves the game everyweek
There are others with a lot less defining headliners. My point is this until we have a clear asset to this offence we are gonna continue to be lost.
Maybe what Zorn is trying to go for is a ravens style of play. to have a powerfull defense that keeps the score low and have a decent offence to just put us over the top in a low scoring game. I think this might have been the thinking for this years team. The defense has kept their end of the bargan but the offense does not follow threw in the end. We always lose by a few. Less than a TD. If we can get over this Red Zone Issue I think we will be successful.
IM Done!!!
This is my final post until we actually have a team that wants to play. These guys dont care anymore so neither do I.
To D Snyder: !!!!!ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!!!!
The game may as well be blocked out on tvs here. Zorn you were only good for 6 games last year. Your done Son. I mean is this the game plan. Are we on a 5 year plan. A plan which requiers us to be the worst team in the NFL just so we can get the first round picks next year.
This was once a team that every year was in the playoffs or in the running. Mr Snyder you need to spend money on a good GM (that makes all the player choices not you) and a GOOD(qualified... like has done it before) coach and give them 5 years to fix the crap you have created here.
You know what? Im not gonna buy anymore jerseys, hats, or beannies. No more lotto tickets or car decals. If you think that im gonna even think about going to another game your nutz.. I say that we even stop watching it on TV. I will do nothing that brings money to SNyders greedy little pockets. I thin that that is the only way Snyder will listen to US. Maybe that will be a lesson to the players. If they dont care about the people that wear their uniforms. WHy should we care about their paychecks.
Zorn your garbage. You have helped Campbell out greatly. I mean Campbell looks great right. But wait!!! Thats your job isnt it. Thats what you are good at. Isn't it? You knew when you came into this that you were not equiped to handle this job. BUt you took the money anyway. You know now that you dont have a clue how to beat even the 2nd WORSE TEAM in NFL history. All you have is a handful of trick plays. YOu need a stradegy and you dont have a clue. So i say to you Zorney: GOOD BYE. DONT LET THE DOOR HIT YOU IN THE @$$.
WHo am I kidding though? Nothing is gonna change. Next week we will still have the same Head Coach. The same players that dont wanna play. The same GM that doesnt manage, and the same OWNER that only care that this team is one of the top grossing teams in the NFL.
With that this will be my final post. I will be joining the Boo-ers. The same Boo-ers I preached against last week. Turn it around guys or you will destroy this franchise or is it too late.
Are you a FAN really?
Some of you out there have no clue what you are talking about. The Skins Are still a good team. Watch and see. Sure our offense still has some stuff to work through. Defense is solid as ever with maybe some work needed against the pass.
All of you who BOO the team need to hush. I have been a fan for 25 years and know that we all wanted to see a smash blowout beatdown aganst the Rams but thats not always gonna be the case. We won at least we can say that. Im gonna break down a couple of reason I think that we are really gonna turn things around this year.
1) Cooley is on fire. Hes gonna make alot of money for the team this year. Randel El in the slot fits perfect. He is loving the position. Perfect fo the 2nd and 3rd and longs.
Now that other teams that we are gonna play see the both of them as threats it will take the double coverage off of Moss and force safties to play a little closer in the flat. Watch Moss have a great game this week. And when they start picking back up on Moss... Randel and Cooley all day long.
2) We do need to work on our red zone penetration I understand that but look at how easy we moved the ball between the 20s.
The Rams had obviously been working on their run D and goal line D
thanks ref for missing this call! check this out
3) Look at the Giants game. We were beat by 6 points. only six. Thats one of 2 errors erased and a win. If Manningham had been stopped or if Campbell had not given up that strip six.
Now look at what the Giants did to the Cowboys. They got beat disgustingly.
4) This brings us to Campbell. I will admit I am still not a Campbell fan. He is looking real good right now (with the exception of the deep ball). Im talking about the choices he has been making. He is running the ball when he needs to.
I bet most of you that complain about the team have no clue what they are talking about. Get a clue and eat crow at the end of the season... Watch the turn around its comming
Look heres the deal
Look guys You can bash and claw at the team if you like. Did you really think the team was gonna win. I know you were hopeful. I was very optimistic for the win. Deep down though you knew it would be a crap shoot. What we need to remember is that the Giants have an outstanding D, a threatening offence with a superbowl QB, and coach that is seasoned and tricky to play against. Lets not forget we were also in the Giants hometown HQ. Now if you look back at some things that we did right. Red zone D dominated. We held them twice on short yard situations. We preasured Eli 3 out of 4 passes and came away by only losing 6. I know a lose is a lose ...true...
I actually prefer that they lost the first against a division rival. Im glad they learned that the offence needs to produce more and that the defense needs to wrap up and take them to the ground. They needed to be punched in the face in order to remember that it sucks to lose.
My question to you is are you a fan or are you just gonne B**** about ever little mistake. We lost by a fumble recovery. we lost by a couple of weak hits on the sidlines. This team will be better for this loss. Mark my words the next time we play these guys they will not go down as easily as they did.
Dont be fooled
Here is the deal.. The Skins went flat last season for several reasons.. Also, let’s not forget that Zorn came to the team coaching a team for the first time in his life.
1) When he was announced as the head coach, they were automatically marked to have a losing season.
2) The guys came out hard and heavy. The defense was good the offence was unstoppable and Campbell was making no turnovers. Zero interceptions in eight games is unheard of. Every fan out there was excited about the team.
3) Things changed when all the running backs got injured. This put all the pressure on Campbell.
4) The second half of the season the run attack was almost gone so now the opposing defense no longer has to worry about Portis making extra yards after the first hit. They O line was decent at making holes for a west coast run based style offence, but when it came to a lopsided pass dependent offence the line fell threw and Campbell began making bad choices under pressure.
5) A lot of you so called "FAIR WEATHER FANS" busted on the Defense for falling threw at the end of the game. The Defense was more than likely a little tired from holding offences for longer periods of time due to all of the three and outs from the offence. I think they did well despite not having many sacks the whole season. They are the 4th best defense because they allowed so few points per game.
This year things are different we have taller receivers we have bigger names on the Defense...
The fact of the matter is that the healthier the players the better the teams do. 6 and 10 predictions are false and un merited. They will do a lot better this year bearing the players stay healthy.
