Jason Kidd signs 3 year deal with Knicks. (Not officially, but I'm calling it and that is what matters)

Jason Kidd just signed a 3 year deal with the knicks. What does this mean for the Mavericks?

Who is our new starting point guard..

JJ Barea is it right now... We can't even win 40 games with that... He's a good backup, but not a starter...

Whats Cuban going to do? It seems as though he's not into spending the money anymore at all, I think he gave up..

So if Barea is our starting point guard going into the season, then we know this organization is done?

Ive never met a more dysfunctional place in my life....

First of all, my girlfriend didn't let me wear a Milton Bradley shirt jersey to a Indians game. I wanted to cause a scene and maybe a fight or two... Then she didn't let me wear my CC Sabathia shirt jersey that I got for 2 dollars... So she made me go buy a freaking Grady Sizemore shirt jersey. Pisses me off.

So I had this buy one get one free ticket thing. Apparently Cleveland ticket people can't ADD AND SUBTRACT OR READ. 9 dollar tickets, should be buy one get one free so how is the final price 18 dollars? WTF is this, 2nd grade math class? Ya you would be working in Cleveland, I should get my Cincy sources to beat you up with a splintered 2 by 4.

It was dollar hot dog night, which made me more excited than watching the Indians and Brewers play.... The first inning consisted of Mark Derosa hitting a HR, beastly...

People are so annoying in Cleveland... Its interesting actually, because people in Cincy are the same way. But all Cincy people talk about is how great Cincy is.. Cleveland people are just full of themselves. Thats why I honk at every one of them on the road, actually I honk other peoples horns in their cars but thats a differn't story.

So I didn't like my row L bleacher seats, thats not how I roll. So I ate 7 dollar hot dogs then we went to find better seats. They have illiterate people working the ticket offices but somehow they can afford to have people guarding every row in the stadium? Thats resmarted... So ofcourse I knew I could find a way around it...

I picked a row with an old guy that obviously was easily distracted.. once someone said something to him, I went behind him and got seats behind 1st base. I got to see that fatass Price fielder play first base every inning. You know how he looks fat on TV? He looks 3 times fatter in real life...

So after the game its time to go. We are supposed to get back on the highway to get home. That highway entrance isshut down, so we take the detour signs. They lead us IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GHETTO IN DOWNTOWN! Are they freaking trying to kill me? Who do they thing I am? Seriously pissed me off.

So.... I havn't been on lonestarball in what seems like forever, and I feel so out of place now... I feel like I havn't posted in years, which is a sad feeling. Truth is Ive been busy I guess...

So I'm on spring break, and I'm staying with my girlfriend in Medina, Ohio. She made me go to a tanning place everyday now and I am sunburned as hell, it hurts to move honestly.

But the sad thing is I feel I am growing farther and farther away from this site these days. My life is so busy now which kind of pisses me off. I am constently having to do sometihng and its just a huge change for me I guess.

I feel like I',m becoming an Ohioan more and more every day because of how much time I spend in this state. I find myself traveling all over the state more and more, and the people are a lot cooler than in Texas I feel like.

But anywhoser, long story short. I really do miss all of you, even the mean ones. But I really do miss it, and sometimes I wish I could have it all back where I am involved. I just feel like Ive gotten farther and farther away from the circle and its not a cool feeling at all.

But I will leave you with a story...

So Saturday I went with my GF to Mount Union College to visit her best friend. The college sucks, like it really does. Its like a small private Methodist church of 2,000 kids that noone has ever heard of. But anyway, we went out that night. The first place we went to was a sorority "gathering" on the sorority and the girls that were pledging or what ever. Long story short, we went there, I was the only guy with a room full of 30 sorority girls. It was fun, I had a bunch of jello shots and this punch that was like sunny delight mixed with 151. But the thing was, I couldn't even taste the 151. Before that, I had to fit in this 2 seater mazda with 8 girls, I thought I was going to die.

But anyway, I hope yall have been doing good, let me know how you've been.

"Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Quincy Carter got a brand new uniform this morning -- a brand new orange jumpsuit.

Carter was just charged with drunk driving and misdemeanor marijuana possession stemming from a traffic stop in south Texas around 2AM.

Cops say Carter failed to use his turn signal -- and when they pulled him over the former NFL wash-out had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his speech. Carter was arrested and taken to Hidalgo County Jail.

Cops say the 31-year-old's blood alcohol level registered at 0.14 -- almost twice the legal limit in Texas.

Carter has since posted $1,000 bail and was released a few hours ago."

There is nothing worse than an Ohio State fan. I go to Ohio University, and everyone seems to be Ohio State fans... This pisses me off like no other. If you like OSU that much, then go to the state school. Its not that hard.

So anyway, ofcourse I was going to go watch the game at Buffolo Wild Wings to watch it with all the OSU fans. I went with a few friends of whom were rooting for Ohio State. I was THE ONLY Texas fan in this huge room of about 300 people watching the game.

Texas starts off the game pretty slow which shuts me up the first half. When Texas starts getting rolling along I start clapping and such and a bunch of people start glaring at me. This is a free country , right? I think I am aloud to root for my team.

So this starts getting personal. The one thing good I can say is some of those girls looked really hot in those Ohio State jersey's but thats all.

When Ohio State scores with 2 minutes to go, this one guy that was staring me down the entire time acts like he is at his wedding and flings his girlfriend or wife around like its the happiest day of his life... I laugh....

Long story short I was pissed. But I knew Colt had it in him to come back. As he marches down the field, I see the OSU fans get quieter and quieter as I get louder and louder.

Texas scores, I go crazy which didn't go over very well with everyone there. This one skate board punk comes over to me and says... "If OSU loses and you are still there after these 16 seconds on the clock, I'm going to beat the shit out of you". I said good, I'm staying to watch the award ceremony. He walks back and watches as the clock runs out...

I hold the hook em horns up high...

I stand at the front door and scream at the TOP of my lungs "FUCK OSU!"

Everyone gets quiet as I walk off.

You think they will mess with me? Nobody messes with me

Check the status

Major NCAA football schools exposed in NY Times a few weeks ago (UT, OU, LSU, USC)

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/26/sports/ncaafootball/26recruit.html?_r=3&ref=sports&pagewanted=all

This is a MUST READ article by the New York Times about the best defensive player in texas high school, and his trail of being recruited by big time programs. He talks about the schemes they play and some of the dirt that these programs don't want you to know....

""""""Along the way, McFarland was wined and dined. He visited the house of the president of Oklahoma, where he was promised a spot in the prestigious President’s Leadership Class. He rode in a Hummer stretch limousine in Los Angeles. He attended parties, including one in Dallas, where he said there was free alcohol, drugs and young women taking off their clothes."""""

""""He said he saw everything from flat-screen televisions in Texas Coach Mack Brown’s bathrooms to L.S.U.’s recruiting hostesses sitting on the laps of prospects.""""

""“I will never forget the excitement amongst all participants,” McFarland wrote. Alcohol was all you can drink, money was not an option. Girls were acting wild by taking off their tops, and pulling down their pants. Girls were also romancing each other. Some guys loved every minute of the freakiness some girls demonstrated. I have never attended a party of this magnitude.”""""

"""""Of the four universities, L.S.U. made the worst impression. After the Tigers lost to Georgia, 52-38, on Oct. 25, McFarland, his mother and his grandmother attended a catered meal at the home of Tigers Coach Les Miles.

“He was very dry,” Adams said of Miles.

Adams was further turned off by L.S.U., she said, when she saw hostesses sitting on the laps of recruits."""""

"""During the trip, Adams said, she asked Brown about the Obama slur, and was told that the player had to be dismissed because the F.B.I. had become involved.""""

""""

After Texas beat Baylor that weekend, McFarland and his mother ate dinner at Brown’s home. Flat-screen televisions were in every room, and there were two outside.

“Whose house do you like better, Bob Stoops’s, Les Miles’s or mine?” Adams recalled Brown saying.""""""""

""""Yet he worried what an Oklahoma degree would mean for landing a job in Texas. He also thought that the Longhorns offered him the best education and that Austin had the most entertainment.""""

"""""Will Muschamp, the team’s defensive coordinator and designated head coach-in-waiting, called until Adams finally talked to him at her son’s request. He tried to patch things up about the earlier phone call in which she was told she could not talk to Brown. He also explained that Texas had probably sent more letters and e-mail messages to her than to any other recruit’s parent.

“He was acting like he was doing me a favor,” Adams said. “You’re recruiting my son. I feel sorry for them if they’re saying they haven’t had that much interaction with any other recruit’s family. I feel sorry for those families. I really do.”""""""

""""While at McFarland’s house, Stoops offered to set the table for dinner and helped carry in ribs and potato salad. After a second serving of ribs and some peach cobbler, he sat on the couch with McFarland and his grandmother and watched the movie “Beauty Shop,” starring Queen Latifah and Alicia Silverstone.""""""

""""Allegations from the report upset her because she said she had received numerous offers of gifts in exchange for her son to attend Texas. She said she did not believe that Brown or anyone officially with Texas was involved or had any knowledge of the enticements.""""

""""Earlier this month, a former classmate called Adams and asked if she would coax her son into attending Texas. If so, a banker had promised the former classmate any type of loan.""""

The article makes Oklahoma look pretty good overall and UT, LSU, and USC pretty shady.

Makes Mack Brown look like a complete jackass, with details about the TV's in bathrooms and bad mouthing other big 12 coaches.

LSU looks terrible, using "hostesses" to persuade the recruits.

And USC wining and dining him with luxury to persuade him.

But anyway, very interesting read into life in recruiting

A few things I have to talk about....

The Rangers team chemistry has taken a major hit this offseason. As the regulars know, I am a huge team chemistry fan. I think it is what makes a team take it to the next level. Before last season, the Rangers had no team chemistry. Then Milton Bradley came in and I think really meshed this team and taught them how to have fun. He was the best thing to ever happen to this team in so many ways. The other guy that might be suprising is Gerald Laird. He was the goof ball of the team, the guy that was always having fun. This next years team might take a huge hit this next year now that all fun is gone.

Who is going to replace this? Michael Young? Hah.

The next thing is I was wrong about that Jason Kidd trade. Well shit.... I am wrong, we should not have traded our point guard of the future for a 35 year old baldy... Yes, Jason Kidd has been pretty good this year, but that does not exclude the fact that Devin Harris is having an even better season making a big name for himself with a team not called the Mavericks.

Tonight, he dropped 41 points on us making us look silly as his team completely obliterated the Mavericks scoring 127 points.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Third and Last thing....

So I was at Macy's looking at suits and this guy was helping me out to find a pinstripe suit. I was looking at some and he told me none of those would fit me because of my height.

Long story short, I had a little selection to choose from. He showed me this one suit and said "A mavericks bench player named Bass came in and got this one" . I was like sweet, I'm getting this one. Not to mention it was 50 percent off.
