Game 6 tickets
I have 2 tickets for Game 6 that I am looking to get rid of. Section 116 row 13. If you are interested please contact me for more information as soon as possible. Tickets are e-tickets and I accept PayPal payment. I Want devils fans to buy them and want to keep Ranger fans out of the building. Do not want them infiltrating The Rock tomorrow night. I want Devils fans to enjoy the experience of Game 6.
Lets Go Devils.
Visiting Nationals Park, Need the Inside Info...Mostly Beer and Food
What's up Nationals fans?
My 3 friends and I will be visiting Nationals Park weekend of July 7 (I know, this fanpost is a little premature), and I haven't been here since 2010. You have a gorgeous ballpark and I needed to comeback to visit (plus I'm hoping Harper will be up with you guys by then.)
I don't know if anything has changed since then, but I was wondering if you could help me out with a few things.
First, I need to know what is the "must eat" item at the park. You can even list 3 or 4, I'll try anything and everything as long as it is good. I saw this morning that they now have an 8 pound StrasBurger which I would love to try. But other than that, I just need to know what my friends and I need to hit up in regards to food.
Next, and could be most important, is what craft beers does the ballpark offer this year. Anything new? And where are the best places to get a craft beer at the park. Our seats are in section 114. So hopefully there is somethign close by. If not, not big deal. But if anyone can provide me with which craft beers they have and where, that would be much appreciated.
Also, what is the average price for beers at the park?
I read that a biergarten just opened up last year called Das Bullpen. Worth checking out before the game?
Lastly, we will be in town Friday thru Sunday, so my friends and I are wondering if there are any places you recommend we check out in regards to having a good time. We are staying at the Westin on M street and from the research it looked like we are right smack in the middle of the different areas of DC that have good beer places. We have done our research for beer places and lists places like Paradiso and Churchkey (not sure if I'm spelling that right) and I've been to Capitol Hill Brewery a bunch of times. But was wondering if any baseball fans have any of their own recommendations.
I appreciate any input you can provide me with.
Thanks everyone, and best of luck on the season. I'm rooting for you guys to win the Division.
Any ANers going to be in NY this weekend?
Was wondering if any fellow ANers will be in NY (or already live in the area) this weekend to take in the A's/Yankee series this weekend.
If so, let me know. I will be there tomorrow night and possibly Sunday (If I can convince my wife to go, or if she doesn't want to go, to let me go, even though it is our anniversary).
We could all meet up before the game at Billy's or another bar if people prefer (not Stan's though).
Hope to hear and see some of you at the game.
Loud and Proud Section Made me Proud
You guys were fantastic last night. I made it a point to point you out to the other fellow season ticket holders in my section who you guys were, telling them how the NetsDaily family created this section for the diehard Nets fans. Right away, they fell in love with you guys.
I sit practically on the other side of the arena from the Loud and Proud section. You guys were as your section described you, Loud and Proud. The chants during the entire game were fantastic and got the people in my section excited. Made me very proud to be a Nets fan and part of the NetsDaily family.
Next year, I will make it a point to come up and visit you guys and introduce myself, assuming the Nets will continue with this service, as it is in their best interest, because having all you diehards in one section makes the atmosphere that much better.
One suggestion that we could do is have a NetsDaily Tailgate before a game or two. I'm not sure how strict they are with tailgating in the parking lots, but we could set something up where we all get together about 2 hours before the game for a tailgate. If they are strict and don't allow tailgating, we could always have a NetsDaily day at a bar before the game. I could call around to the local pubs and try to set up drink and food specials. Just an idea, that's all.
Again, eLone, great job on creating the Loud and Proud section, and hopefully the Nets will have this throughout the season next year, and I promise to make sure to get tickets, even though I'm already a season ticket holder, or at the very least just come over and introduce myself.
Nice Job everyone.
Looking forward to all the offseason chatter here at NetsDaily. See you all next season at the Rock.
Prokhorov must NOW shine and sell...
I refuse to criticize or blame Prokhorov for not signing LeBron, Wade, Bosh or convincing Melo to sign an extension with the Nets if a trade went through. Those players did not want to come to the Nets. I don't care how great a sales pitch is, you can't convince someone to go somewhere or do something if they know what they want to do and have their hearts set on it. Melo had his heart set on the Knicks. Those other three had it planned out to sign with Miami. Nothing Proky could say or do would convince them otherwise.
Now, a lot of reports saying Deron is not happy with the trade. But the difference is Deron is under Nets control through next year. Prokhorov and company MUST sell Deron on being a Net is a good thing and a team he should want to play for. How they have their eyes on Dwight Howard, but they want and need him.
This is all on Prokhorov. He has to step up. If the Nets fail to sign Deron to an extension, Prokhorov can not slide.
But I also ask something from you, Nets fans. Let's make Deron feel welcome. Let's embrace him. Let's make him want to stay with the Nets. Let's fill the Rock on Monday night and show him the Nets are a team that is now on the rise and a team that means business and has its sights on a championship...in 2012....

This might not be popular, but....
I understand that people are starting to get annoyed with all these trade proposals and projected draft picks....but if people weren't interested, they wouldn't read, right?...
Over the last couple days, it seems as though every couple hours there is new topic that becomes all the rage to talk about on this site...right now it seems like the possibility of Yi being traded to clear about $4 mil in cap space is now all the rage...
Well, instead of trying to trade Yi, how about this...Try to work out a 3 way deal between the Nets, NO and Indy...
Nets would trade Harris to Indy (they want a PG badly) and Nets would get Collison in return (look at his numbers on 82games.com...I know it's a fairly small sample size but the guy can play), and the Pacers would trade the #10 pick to NO...
I understand this is far fetched, like most other trades, or maybe other pieces such as different or more draft picks would have to be included by the teams...but this is something that could help the Nets...1) Nets would save more cap space by trading Harris for Collison which would put them in better position for two max free agents...2) Collison is a good player...when Paul went down and Collison took over, he was regularly putting up double digit assits...and if the Nets are able to sign 2 max guys (inserty which ever great players you want), wouldn't the job of the PG on this team be to push the ball and find the open man? Not a shoot first PG?
What does everyone think? (I know, I'm a little crazy, and this won't happen, but I get like this at draft time and Free Agency looming)....
Great Article on Andrew Bailey
A nice little write up on Andrew Bailey in his hometown newspaper about his journey to the all-star game. I'm sure I echo all ANers saying that we are very proud of Bailey and the job he has done this year. Hopefully he will keep this up and maybe the A's season will also turn around. Well deserved and hopefully we will see him close out the All-Star game tonight.

Anyone interested in joining a fantasy baseball auction league in the NJ area?
Hello AN...
I am currently looking for someone who would be interested in a fantasy baseball auction league.
The catch:
It's a live draft at my house on Saturday, April 4 in New Jersey (I know this is AN, but I'm sure there are fans from Jersey).
Right now there are 11 people signed up, all great guys, with the exception that some are Yankee fans.
If you are interested, reply to this post and I will give more details.
