Note - Shealy was kind enough to suffer through a 3-day long game of phone tag to talk to me, just because I asked. He really is good people. Also, sorry about the wonky formatting on the post.
-------------------------
"[The Royals] did what they felt was necessary, what they felt was going to help them win," Shealy said. "With that said, I know that, if I was given the opportunity, that I could produce at that level, too. [Moore] did whatever he thought was best for the team, which he should do, but in my heart I know that if given the chance I could perform."

Kyle Farnsworth didn't make his scheduled appearance in Omaha last night, and no one knows why. The Rookies have come up with some theories.

(P.S. Maybe I made that photo illustration. Maybe I didn't.)

Disco to Omaha! Disco to Omaha!

According to KCSP's Greg Schaum, the Royals have promoted reliever Chris 'Disco' Hayes to AAA Omaha. Hayes will join the O-Royals as they embark on their annual 2+ week road trip during the College World Series.

Hayes, 26, was off to a dominating start in his second season at AA Northwest Arkansas, posting a 0.98 ERA in 18 relief appearances, and has only walked six batters all season. He did not allow a single earned run in the month of May.

Hayes will hopefully alleviate some of the frustrating results the Omaha bullpen has created in this past month. The team certainly needs a boost - they've won just seven of their last 30 games, and many of those losses were attributed to the bullpen.

There's an invitation at the end of the post to make suggestions as to which blogs should have been included, so go make an argument for Royals Review! We were snubbed!
