New Kings Coverage?

New Kings Coverage?

So I'm a Raiders fan, and while perusing the Bee's coverage, saw this gem....

"I'm not sure exactly when I'll no longer be following the Raiders full-time. But I'll do my best to keep updating things while I give myself a crash course in the Kings, the NBA Draft and all that is basketball related.

Oh yes, this should be fun for someone raised on Laker basketball."

I was all well and good- because Jason Jones is a pretty good writer, and he goes out of his way to get inside scoops on things, rather than just reading the AP wire.

Until I read about the Lakers... Really?!? Really?!!?

Mikki doing as well for Boston as he had for Sac

Moore hasn't been much better. The Celtics are trying to sell him as essentially the equal of Joe Smith, saying they wanted one or the other and took Moore because he was available first. But I suspect they regret not waiting on Smith. While Moore does similar things (make jumpers, take charges, talk on D), he has slipped badly the past two seasons and arrived from Sacramento with aN 8.18 PER.

Though he has had sporadic moments of quality, including a 3-of-3 effort to aid the win over Cleveland, so far Moore's Boston tenure has been defined mostly by a massive propensity for fouling -- he has committed nearly one foul every four minutes as a Celtic.

Who will the Pats take at the #7 spot?

NE doesn't believe in paying top-dollar to keep their players (see Colvin, Deion Branch, etc). As such, they've got to draft DB. LB is an area of need for them as well, but there quite simply isn't the deep talent in the first round this year.

Pats take Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

http://meacswacsports.blogspot.com/2007/12/hbcu-football-players-named-ap-all.html

PFT has just posted that Drew has agreed to terms with the Raiderrrs....Seems to be a nice pickup for a tall posession receiver. ESPN has him tagged for 38 catches for 517 yards last year. Certainly nothing to scoff at, considering that he'd been fighting JL Higgins for a job... I haven't seen a ton of film of this guy. Anyone know what we're in store for?

Baron v. Kmart

Need some help here. The GF and I are having an argument about who is the better player. I contend that Kmart is more valuable, due to his higher efficiency, and the fact that Baron often takes "games off". She contends that Baron is "more clutch", but concedes that this is completely inquantifiable.

Can someone back me up with some stats, PER, etc? Is it ridiculous to compare a SG with a PG?

How can I win this argument?

I've always been a fan of this guy, although perhaps not for the right reasons. It seems that I like him because he is the anti-Bibby, i.e. takes it to the whole, dishes well, dunks on occasion.

I was wondering what the rest of Sac town thinks of this guy. Worth keeping as a backup? Possible PG starter? Garbage? Let's hear it.
