Not really sure what to say to this except that I'm glad I got seats in 416 and not the right field bleachers.

Not much to say about this. I just figured I'd pass word along. I like Illinois as the last game of the year, so the fact that it's in October next year bothers me a bit, but other wise I'm ok with the schedule.

Sounds like it would be a good time. I definitely plan on getting tickets. I'll have to dust off my football cleats and layer up. if anything it'll be good to get out and throw the ball around so I don't hurt myself too badly in the yearly day after thanksgiving football game

The writer seems to like the D but has concerns about the offense. Also points to the game against Illinois as being a big deal. Nothing groundbreaking but still interesting.

Here's the Cubs hat. I think I would like it a lot more without the red stripes. Taking a quick look around the league I wonder what the logic is behind some teams having a home and away hat and some not.

They finally got the schedule up at cubs.com. I figured this was worthy of its own post.

Despite the work that he did I am a little surprised that this happened. It'll be interesting to see who they bring in to fill his spot.

Saw this on deadspin this morning. I thought it was pretty funny.

This wasn't worthy of a full post, but Al over at BCB has posted some photos of the construction process for the Winter Classic. My guess is that much like with the bleacher renovation project from a few years ago, there will be photo updates as we get closer to the event.

the title says it all. I was definitely surprised to see that. For awhile there it seemed like it was just a matter of time till that deal went through. Perhaps the Cubs still have a shot?
