Despite the work that he did I am a little surprised that this happened. It'll be interesting to see who they bring in to fill his spot.

This wasn't worthy of a full post, but Al over at BCB has posted some photos of the construction process for the Winter Classic. My guess is that much like with the bleacher renovation project from a few years ago, there will be photo updates as we get closer to the event.

the title says it all. I was definitely surprised to see that. For awhile there it seemed like it was just a matter of time till that deal went through. Perhaps the Cubs still have a shot?

using information found at the WWL I pieced together this image. I was curious as to what pitching matchup could possibly look like for the rest of the season. Yes, I know that people may get skipped in the rotation and other things may change (for example esp currently shows the mets going to a 4 man rotation) If things were to stay the way they are today this is what the matchups would look like. discuss.
