Minaya: "No more major signings"


When asked the same question, Minaya said the team would not make any more major signings. "I think we’re done after this," he said. "We’re going to go to spring training with this team. We’re going to look around for those smaller pieces, but as far as big moves, our priorities have been met."

Albany T-U: Mets fans have boos hangover


Brian Ettkin points out the boo-birds don't have that much to complain about. Although a no-hitter would be nice. I didn't know about the Corn King Curse until the radio broadcast on Sunday. Corn King was some sponsor at the Mets' origin who promised to give 50,000 Corn King cards (whatever those are) to any Mets pitcher who threw a no-no. Supposedly this arrogance has cursed them ever since.
