Where are we right now?

For many people the Warriors are in a never ending state of dysfunction. We show promise for 3 or 4 years to then return to mediocrity with a glimmer of hope for the future. LETS FACE IT.... No one on our roster (besides monta's potential before the crash) seems to be able to command double teams and single handedly change a game. We had that in Baron Davis and Jason Richardson. No team who has won a championship or seriously competed for one not had a game changer or a core of great players who fit their roles. The warriors seem like a team filled with shooters, slashers and rebounders. That doesnt sound championship material.

HONESTLY, STEPHEN JACKSON IS OUR TOP SCORER ON OUR TEAM. WHILE ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP SPURS HE WAS A ROLE PLAYER NOT ASKED TO DO TOO MUCH. How can we expect to compete for a championship with him at the center of our plans. Sure we all love Jacks key 3's*(when he actually hits them) and his energy but we are screwed if he becomes the face of the franchise.

I believe having a strategy with key roles for all of our players can ultimately win us a championship:

PG: A Defensive minded, good passing point guard

SG/Star Player: Monta Could be our A.I. and he could just shoot and drive and make game changing plays without worrying about ppoint guard duties.

SF: Anthony Randolph could be one of our main ball handler and a big defensive presence. He could be a huge factor in small ball too.

PF: Wright shows flashes of stardom. If he gains 15 more pounds and develops a go-to post move with a solid mid range shot he would be a hard man to handle.

C: Biedrins has shown he is one of the best rebounders in the league. He still is scoring 17 a game with very few post moves. If he got his weight up to around 250 and developed his post game a little more there is no reason to doubt 20-10 seasons from him.

Shooter: Morrow could be the 3 point specialist our 3 happy team needed. If he could be a 40-50 percent 3 point shooter while scoring 10-15 a game it would help the team very much.

Big Man: Richard Hendrix and Ronny Turiaf would have the meat on their bones to be presences defensively and difficult guards for opposing teams due to their strength, athletism, and quickness.

6th/7th Man: Stephen and Azubuike would be nice all around scorers off the bench someone to help out the pg duties while our pg would be out. Buike would be the efficent scorer who would score 10 in 20 minutes and stephen would provide clutch shots and defense.

The perfect coach to lead this team would be Rick Adelman because he would get this team to score 100-110 points a game while keeping the defense at a 97-104 points a game level unlike Nelson. He would incorporate small ball at times while using the half court offense in key, close situations.

Just like to say Kellenna is really underated and plays at a high level. I think we shouldnt have signed Corey now because hes taking time away from azubuike. As we see we win the first game with corey out and buike in. Its as simple as that. No hatin on corey just i think buike is better than him. The other point of this was to say Cj looked really good running the show yesterday...... stephen dissapointed with clank after clank but was clutch at the end and at the charity stripe.

I think Ronny is a good defender and rebounder, exactly Al's weaknesses. We already have 3 shooters in KEllenna, STephen, and COrey. No need for al at that point. Then place demarcus and al in as 6th men. we have too many shooters and not enough rebounding and inside presence. i'd like kellenna to be pg kinda cuz he doesnt really turn it over too much and plays within his ability unlike stephen who thinks he can make every 25 footer he takes.

Why are we considering Curry for Al?

If the trade that is being rumored is true, it will be a crushing blow to the warriors. One how will fat 300 pound eddy curry play for us when he cant even play a minute for the knicks. I'm sure we could find a better package for al than this. How bout Al, Branden Wright, marcus williams for Lamar Odom. This would help both teams as Odom would be starting for us at power forward and b wright could develop and marcus would be a cap filler. Al would have a big part in the second unit which plays a big part on the lakers.

Who should be starting PG or play most of the minutes?

I personally really like Demarcus Nelson because he is a defensive prowless and is athletic. It also looks like he is a good passer and is a good fit in our system? Others point to Marcus Williams as the answer. However it looks like he isn't ready to play for the warriors and he hasnt been to great with the ball( 4 turnovers, 6 assists in 54 minutes). CJ does not have too much point guard skill in my oppinion but is a nice combo guard. Stephen is a good playmaker but does not have the point guard instinct but would cause huge matchup problems for other teams defensively. So now i want your vote. Who should be Starting PG for the Dubs? Or who should receive most playing time.

Lets Get a petition to sign to get rid of Cohan and Rowell

I'm sick of these guys they have ruined the franchise. Baron would have stayed at a reasonable price but they were too cheap. They want to get rid of Mullin too. Lets not forget that Mullins been our best GM in 14 years and we have a lot of them.

If someone create a Petition to sign so we can rid of Cohan and Rowell i would sign it.

Marco as Point Guard

I want to try it out. Monta is out and we need people to step up, how about him. he will be called a bust if he doesnt do anything this season. Marco may not be a great distributor but he has nice playmaking ability and great shooting ability.

I believe we should give Marcus his chance but only at 30-35 minutes a game and belinelli as back up point guard at 20 minutes a night. i would not be suprised to see his stats around the 10 points, 3 assists mark if he does this. i want to see all of our youngsters but i want marco to have a chance.

Stephen Jackson: The Return of the Malcontent

I knew he could not be a saint for ever. Now it seems he deserves to have a long term contract equivalent to Monta or Biedrins. Stephen may need to hire a smart agent because I do not believe he will last long here if he keeps making these claims. This is one of the reasons he was run out of town by the Pacers.

I hope Stephen can realize to keep it quiet and have another trouble free, productive season. Where are the Warriors going to get this money. I am sure we will have to extend Wright and Randolph along with our current salaries. I don't want Jackson being a key part of our team in 3,4,5, years. Along with Harrington they both should not be here in 3 or 4 years. However giving Jackson a reasonable 2 year 16 million extention now would give him more motivation now and we could raise his trade value overall. Therefore we could make Jax play up to his potential and before that extention begins then trade him. Or we could trade him back to a team like the Spurs next year looking for an expiring contract and a piece to give them one more championship and a contract that is expiring so they can pursue other options in free agency or opening up positions for draft picks. There are many options for the warriors with Jackson. One we cannot afford is a replay of his tenture with the pacers for the last 3 years.

Bayless and Roy should split PG

This is a perfect situation for bayless as he can guard point guards while roy runs the offense.

I being a warriors fan saw this situation work with Monta Ellis and Baron Davis as Davis guarded the shooting guard and handled the point guard duties. However Baron was still not a good defender to guard more athletic taller players. Also Ellis was still a below average defender to guard even point guards.

In the blazers situation this should work out much better. Roy is a combo guard who has the size and speed to guard either of the guard positions. While Bayless can play shooting guard on offense while not having the team concerned about his defensive liabilities. Therefore Bayless can play point ON offense when Roy is out and play shooting guard while roy is in.

Now i think that a lineup featuring Roy and Bayless is a more productive lineup than with roy at SG with an average point guard(steve blake, sergio ) with nice passing skills. It isnt like Roy doesnt have good point guard skills. Maybe the blazers just think he can excel more at scoring in the shooting guard position. Please comment and vote on my poll.
