trade rumors
there are rumors going around that maggette may be traded. Ideally we would want to get a solid pf in return for mags, somone like millsap or brandon bass. But this is extremely unlikely. Now there have been rumors that a trade of Josh Howard for Maggs may go down. The mavs are looking to get rid of Howard and Mags isn't fitting in with the warriors offense.
Like I said i would much prefer to get a solid pf in return for Mags but i think Josh Howard would actually be a good pickup. hes an efficient scorer, hes a terrific rebounder for his position which is SF and he can run. He would fit in nicely at SG or SF and and we could then move either Jackson or Crawford to 6th man. this is when Ellis is back.
But this doesn't address the overload of wingmen and guards. cj watson, morrow or bellinelli are all expendable. We should ship one or two of these guys (not bellinelli and morrow together) out for a young pf like sean williams, or sean may or some player like that who can come in and provide us with solid rebounding.
we've seen the front office is willing to make trades and i think these are things we need to do. maggette needs to go and we need to ship our expandables elsewhere for a pf

what do you think of these ideas.

i think i broke my hand
if you watched this last game you have to be upset as a warriors fan. they play well the whole game (almost), jackson finally starts playing the way we all want him to. crawford finally finds his stroke. maggette only has 1 airball in the entire game (impressive right), but then as we get nearer and nearer the end of the game the warriors get colder and colder, and hand present after present over to the heat. in this 7 game losing streak im really not sure if the warriors are trying to let the other teams win. tonight was the most frustrating and pathetic. here's ultimately what went wrong in this game.
rebounding:
the warriors had 36 rebounds in the game
beasley, marion, and haslem nearly equaled this.
the warriors have to start boxing out, its simple. numerous times i have seen crawford or whomever run down the court after a miss only to see the guy he was defending get the rebound. biedrins can't do it all by himself. this is where i like randolph on the court, hes aggressive and goes straight for the rebound, nelly dropped the ball on this one, if randolph was on the court at the end of this game i can almost guarantee a different result. i dont know how many second chance points the heat scored, but i dont want to look at it, its an embarrasing number.
corey maggette:
maggette needs to stop shooting threes, its simple, hes super efficient everywhere but the three point line, cut the three pointers and his fg% and efficiency increases
inbound plays:
the play at the end of the game where biedrins threw the ball away was his fault, i think he went braindead for a couple of seconds. but nelly should have called the timeout to draw something up. ive seen this happen 3 times in the season now and this is not something that should happen past hs basketball. just threw the ball and the game away because of a mental error.
overall the warriors showed promise in this game, they started to gel offensively, it wasn't all iso's. they were sharing the ball and it made the game a whole lot better to watch, defensively we played alright, didn't allow 50 free points like in previous games, but the warriors proved tonight that they are possibly the worst closing team in nba history. it has happened too many times all because of mental errors, inexusable.
if they want to make any sort of run at the playoffs, though it looks improbably now you never know when monta comes back, they're going to have to learn how to finish games especially against mediocre teams like the heat.
