Well, i think i can speak for just about everyone here in saying that i am pissed, exhausted, disappointed & just generally blah today.  But life goes on, i guess... & there is always next year, as a Cubs fan would say.  Before we start thinking about next year, though, we have to sit through this year's playoffs, all the while wondering "what if".  And that brings me to my question:

Will anyone here be rooting for the Twins?

Personally, i will be.

Part of it has to do with "AL Central Pride", or whatever you'd like to call it.  All throughout the second half of the season i've had to listen to nothing but how bad the AL Central is & how none of the teams in the AL Central deserved a playoff spot & blah, blah, blah.  I'd like to see Minnesota go into New York & spank the Yankees just to show everyone that the ball that is played in the Central is just as good or better than the ball they play in the East.

The other part of it has to do with the fact that i respect the hell out of Minnesota as a franchise.  Of course they've got some players that i despise ('Nard Span & Nick Punto anyone?)... but i like Gardenhire, i like the way the Twins play & i like the way the organization is run.  I hate the Twins during the 9 (or 12) innings they're playing the Tigers, but not the way i hate, say, the White Sox.  I just plain hate the White Sox... all the time.

Just one hung-over Tigers fan's opinion... what's yours?
