Rob Kurz - Free Agent Bargains ?!

Rob Kurz - Free Agent Bargains ?!

"Rob Kurz, Golden State Warriors

A sweet shooting face-up four man, Kurz made Golden State's roster as a complete surprise last season, and played limited minutes in only 40 games, averaging 3.9 points. However, what should get the attention of bargain shoppers is this: Kurz played more than 30 minutes in just two games this season, and when he got those minutes, he produced – scoring 20 against Denver and 21 against Utah, going 7-11 from the field and 3-3 from three against the Nuggets and 8-14 from the field against the Jazz while hitting 4 out of 7 threes. That's 15-25 from the floor and 7-10 from three in the only two games where he got significant minutes – and those games were four months apart. He's a guy who not only is waiting for his chance, but has proved to be ready when it comes. If you need a four who can stretch the defense and create space for others, Kurz is a bargain. "

From our roster: Anthony Randolph, Anthony Morrow, Jermareo Davidson, Acie Law and Stephen Curry (the curry monster?)

Lots of forwards in the non-drafted players.

Warriors going after Kirilenko?

Warriors going after Kirilenko?

" It appears unlikely the Jazz can avoid being luxury-tax payers and bring back both Boozer and Andrei Kirilenko. Kirilenko is owed $34.3 million through 2010-11, an especially unappealing contract for teams trying to clear cap space for the summer of 2010.

Kirilenko is projected to be tied with Pau Gasol as the NBA's 11th-highest paid player next season. There could be a taker for Kirilenko's contract in Golden State, where coach Don Nelson long has been among the Russian forward's biggest fans.

Nelson has threatened to trade Jamal Crawford unless the guard opts out of the final two years and $19.4 million on his contract. The Warriors also owe Corey Maggette $39.7 million for the final four years on the contract Maggette signed just last summer.

Maggette signed a six-year, $42 million offer sheet with the Jazz as a restricted free agent in 2003, which the L.A. Clippers opted to match. The Jazz reportedly expressed interest in Maggette as a free agent again last summer. "

(converted to fanshot bla bla)

According to ESPN: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4068618

They still say he is our PG, but I am doubting it more and more.

Interestingly enough, they list morrow and CJ as possible trade fodder. Not sure how well researched this is - trade CJ for baron!

I assume most people don't want to give up Morrow (or any of our youth), but would you if it got us a really good PG? Or rather go rebuilding with youth and getting rid of the overpaid vets?

Anthony Morrow - A rookie whose 3-point stroke leads the league

"First, he waited for the paychecks to stabilize. Then, for his prized purchase to be shipped cross-country.

When Anthony Morrow's black Dodge Challenger finally arrived a few months into the Warriors' season, the rookie with the sweet shooting stroke saw his days of being chauffeured by C.J. Watson at last come to an end.

"Now I ride with him," Watson said with a smile."

Great little piece on morrow.
