I know, there have been a couple posts about this already, but I just wanted to give my two cents.

So I was at work today, and one of the managers noticed my 49ers lanyard and mentioned that he appreciated it because he is one of the "faithful" as well. "Not just a fan, but a faithful," he said. And it got me thinking.

I have always been against people changing "favorite" teams. I have always thought it was a crappy habit when people can't stick to one team and just be a fan for life, no matter what. I, as well as most everybody here, has been through a lot of heartache the past decade with this 49er team. Eight straight seasons of losing records, yet we are still here rooting this team on, and we are finally reaping the benefits of it. That part right there is what makes it so sweet because we all stuck with our team and never thought of doing otherwise.

Fooch's Note: Thanks to mountaindew77 for putting together this Madden simulation of the 49ers-Chargers matchup. It's not a pretty result so let's just hope it's not the most accurate heading into tomorrow night's matchup.

Hello Niner Nation, and welcome to another installment of the Madden "simulation." Before I say anything else, I want to let everyone know that I in no way, shape, or form believe these "simulations" to be any indication of what will happen in real life. Madden is a video game after all, and these posts are just for fun. 

With that said, let's do this thing. The game is Madden NFL 11 on Xbox 360. I will simulate it with 14 minute quarters and 25 second play-clock run off to get the most realistic amount of plays possible. The game is set on All-Pro difficulty. I watch the game, provide a sort of play-by-play commentary for you folks reading.

Hello there everyone. So I emailed Fooch the other day after I realized that Ninjames (that slacker) had not been doing the Madden simulations every week. He then gave me the privilege of doing it so here I am. I make sure I have the most updated rosters, take out injured players from the depth chart, and make sure everything else is good with the rosters. So for this simulation, I took Nate Clements, Michael Spurlock, Joe Staley, and Demetric Evans out of the depth chart. The player out with injury for sure on the Titans side is Javon Ringer, and everyone else is questionable so I left them in there.

So here is how this works. The game is Madden 10 for the PS3. I set up the week's matchup in Madden with 14 minute quarters and 25 second clock run-off for a more realistic amount of plays. I set the difficulty on All-Madden, sit back, and watch the matchup and give you guys a play-by-play. Let's jump into this shall we?
