PensBurgh Let's get real Pens fans...

The Penguins absolutely stink. Like every other Pens fan I wish Sid, Geno, Kuni and all the rest never got injured or were fully healed and ready to go. The fact is they aren't and Disco Dan either needs to adjust his style or pack his bags. Staal looks horrid and so do most of the other guys. Of course Versus and NHL Network show almost every game now which is never easy to watch. You can feel the OT loss is going to happen. Is it me or don't most bad teams eventually get a 3-1 victory or a good win at some point? Playing around with the puck and weak shots into defenders has to stop. Today is a new day and the Pens need to show us something. Gogo is doing well in Dallas, will Neal pick up the pace? Can anyone score? I agree that 1 point is better than none but they need to get energized and light the lamp. I live in Chicago and it will be excruciating watching them lift the cup again.

PensBurgh Rock Ovechkin!!

If any Pens fans caught the NHL Network piece on the Winter Classic today, seeing Ovechkin say "he's (Sid) a good player but talks too much" had to get you fired up hoping the Pens light him up all game long and knock that smirk off his face while lighting up the lamp for a big victory in the Burgh. I think somebody needs to go after him the way he goes after Malkin and give him some pain. What are we waiting for? He's a bum and someone on the Pens needs to bring the pain.

PensBurgh How to Jumpstart Geno??

It is great to see the Pens and Sid improve each game but to keep progressing, I think most Pens fans will agree we need to get Geno lighting the lamp.  It would be great to have a healthy Staal back to play with Geno but maybe the Pens need to acquire another winger or bring up Jeffrey so someone can start setting up Geno the way Gonch used to.  Nothing like seeing a pass from the point over to Geno in the left circle for a cannon shot goal into the back of the net.  Go Pens!!!

PensBurgh What about Scuderi?

Rob Scuderi was a huge contributor to the Pens winning the Cup. Not only did he cover his responsibilities amazingly well and was solid shift after shift against superstar opponents, he also covered for all of Hal "flat-foot" Gill's sluggishness and constant mistakes plus he saved goals. Sure, Billy G. and Adams are great to have back, but the key ingredient who has to be re-signed before anyone else is Rob Scuderi. In order to beat the opponent, you need a wall around Fleury. Scuderi is as solid a blue liner as any and if the Pens don't sign him, forget about another cup. Give him 3 mil before someone else does. Go Pens!
