David Ortiz eyes to get checked on Monday

Hi all. Saw this as a blurb in the Baltimore Sun toda. It said he is going to get his eyes checked out on monday. I'm wondering what you guys think about it and if it is a big deal in the media in Boston. I know hes not that old(33) so he shouldn't be losing that much of a step, but I'm wondering if the clubs doing that as an excuse.(I know to his credit from what i hear he is blaming no one but himself for his struggles and took his benching well) He seems like a stand up guy I only ask that because he was benched for 3 games couldn't he have gotten them checked then?

In an unrelated note, By the way if any of you are wishing to come to Philly the 12th 13th or 14th, the Phils released some tickets last night. I personally always welcome TRUE fans of other teams to my parks(Oriole and Citizens bank) as we are all fans of the game first... It is the bandwagon Yankees and sadly yes there are few bandwagon red sox fans around here(philly/baltimore)who never knew you guys existed till 2004.. can't stand em.. If any of you get a chance to come down to cbp it is an awesome park ..Have a good morning everyone.

O's new Logo merchandise

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has found any of the o's new logo merchandise?Anywhere? I am looking on the internet for a "baltimore shirt," or anything with the "maryland" sleeve logo on it. I just don't want to spend the $180 for a jersey, that is the only item i've seen on the many websites i've checked. I am going to fanfest, so worse case i can pick up ger then, but I was hoping to have it in advance. I even went to Shenk & Tittle near me, which usually can get me anything o's from one of their maryland stores and they have nothing.. Any help is appreciated

Sunday as of now is standing room only available(which have amazing views), but tickets are available for friday and saturday. I enjoyed watching the last time the O's came to Philly,( it kills two birds with one stone for me, I get to see both of my teams live) and if you guys haven't yet been to citizens bank park, I highly recommend it.

also a d for trembly? I think hes done ok considering. the mess he inherted.

Your thoughts are welcome, i'm not saying we're going to win the division, or wild cardbut i certainly think we're improved over last year.

Also I think locking up Robrts and Markakis to long term deals at least shows that the front office is willing to spend to keep good talent, which could improve morale.

I also feel Uehara will be a good starter. Yes he's just been in the pen, but pitchers can go from the pen to stater and vise versa(Brett Myers is a great example off the top of my head) if they have the desire to..

yes 3-5 are shaky, but Rich hill is healthy, and who knows with liz and hendrickson, but not many teams have solid 4 and especially 5th starters.

Hello everyone, thought you guys might enjoy this. As I've said in the past, i'm a huge Penn State fan who follows their nfl players, so this is a great story.Its kinda funny in a way that Matt Millen is the guy who gave him the bad news he was cut, since he was once a great Penn Stater(he should've stayed a commentor, horrible gm!)The way the story turned out, It almost maks you want to root for the Steelers Sunday(just having fun, i really do hope you guys win)
